Factory Car Cover any good?

My sticker said that the cover came gratis with the car (you know after you drop some big coin to buy the car). :lol:

I asked the salesman. He didn't even know. Then he said you know you're right.
So they handed me a box with the cover inside. So I am pretty sure you're supposed to get the cover with the car. I don't think you should pay for it.[/QUOTE

That's what I mean - I did not order my car, I bought it off the floor. It was me going through the sticker lines and picking it off. I am sure if I did not see it , I would have been leaving without it. I guess my point is if you buy one off the floor make sure they give you what you have coming.

I think the general consenus is if you pay the $10K ADM, they'll throw the cover in for free whether its on your window sticker or not! :lol:

Didn't get the option ($375) when I purchased the car. But found it on ebay for $380 after debating for a while. I received the cover (Yes, I have a cover for a car I don't have yet. Still not being built ) and I can't say I'm impressed. Seems thin and 'crinkley' where the graphics are applied. Although the graphics are nice, and the bag has a nice logo as well. It came in a box marked "Custom accessories Ford" FR3Z-19A412-E and "Ford Motor Company". It was advertised as a genuine Ford part and I can only assume it is.

I actually think the cover is not so good.. It is too tight in the rear if you have a track pack with the larger spoiler, and it is prone to scratch the spoiler (very shinny) plastic when you put it on. It shouldn't be that tight.
My previous cover on the GT500 was nicer, thicker with more insulating material inside, and better cushioning for scratches. I have not used it for this sole reason... I keep my car under a carport, but I don't have a garage at the moment..

i think you are better off, if you don't have this ford oem cover, buying some aftermarket as suggested above.

I agree on that, it is like it is one size too small.
Good thing if outside in wind though.

I usually attach under the front.
Drape it over hood, roof, trunk, and then loosely around spoiler.
Pull each side completely down under the car individually.
I have not seen any damage to the finish of the car.

I do not like the stripes and logo.
Again, if it were used outside, it is like "please steal me" written on your cover.

I don't think it would have been in the trunk upon departure had I not asked.
And by delineating it as Ful veh cov dealer inst accy it is not like writing
