I GOT A R!!!!!

Well after what I thought was a heartbreaking incident with my 350 being hit by some asshole, I called about 60 dealerships hoping to get a R. I just got back from the dealership that I am working with and we agreed upon a price of MSRP + $5,000.00!! I was shocked they did it for so low. All I have to do is sell my current 350 and wait for my order to be processed, built, shipped. I am so freaking excited!

First and foremost, congratulations.

Did the dealer tell you they had an R allocation? Without an allocation, they can order an R but Ford will not pick up the order. I believe one way a dealer is allocated an R is if they have sold 3 of the current model year GT350's. I hope your dealer knows and understands the system.

Not trying to bring you down. I've just seen too many customers get screwed due to dealers not knowing they don't just order an R.

Reading the horror stories here please be careful. So many people went through what you did and waited months only to find out they are never getting an R.

Well, I still dont understand how this works but people ordered Rs (i.e. in the system they could see an order, a print out was given, etc), but the cars never got built. Again, I dont know how this works, so can't comment on more besides saying be careful.
