That's what I would do. ;) That is however if I was hell bent on not selling to put myself in a '17Has anyone broke down and bought the $2700 TR-3160 (track pack) with the internal pump from buyfordracingdpm.com?

Great, now we will have to change your callsign to DEVO STEVEI'm this ->||<- close to pulling the trigger. This is how I feel about Ford and its vehicles these days.
:lol:Depending on the outcome of my litigation, in the not too distant future I shall be known as GrandSportSteve :ban:
going to look at one this weekend. I might be right behind you.Depending on the outcome of my litigation, in the not too distant future I shall be known as GrandSportSteve :ban:
And there are initial press releases that make generalized statements with clarifications few and far between, ALL SUGGESTING THE GT350 LINE as track oriented. That's getting old, fast.
Time for everyone to put their big boy pants on and own up as to why they didn't consider why a car marketed as a "track oriented" car would be offered with a Track Pack option. That's the very first thing that smacked me right between the eyes when the car was unveiled. Ford was pretty clear in showing the dichotomy between the two packages.
Engine oil, transmission and differential coolers for the "Track Day Specialist" (i.e. track car) vs. nicer interior for the "Smart, Sophisticated Performer" (i.e. street car). Hmmmmm... Maybe that track pack is important if you're actually going to track it? Astounding!

I know this post will antagonize people and I do apologize for any offense given. For the most part I actually sympathize with Tech Pack owners, esp. those who are overheating during daily driving. Absolutely unacceptable.
That said, pitching fits on the internet and repeatedly playing the victim card while complaining about the honest effort being made by Ford to remedy the situation does nothing for anyone.
You should perhaps read every page, from the very beginning and realize your points are just as tired, have been old for months before you bestowed your post on page 85 of this thread and should just stfu already, particularly if you have no skin in the game. Talk about around and around. That's getting old, fast.
I think we all agree. The decision to exclude trans/diff coolers from certain models was a mistake. Rectified in '17 but with little consolation to '15/'16 owners.superman07 said:...to suggest for a second any one of these cars should not be expected to do hot laps with a gt for 20 minutes is silly.
just call one gt350 poser edition, and poser edition with magnaride and leather.
Nobody is saying that there are other problems with the car, but what they are saying is that this thread is calledTo single out owners as having no skin in the game really isn't fair. Hey, I'm pissed about the poor performing audio system, lack of seat cooling, and no RSD as original equipment. The Track Pack isn't without performance imperfection either. I'm knocking each "malady" off, one by one, and not without substantial cost. It is what it is.
That said, this resonates pretty deep...

2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion
There are people who specically do not have a cooling issue, but continuously post that same piece of info as evidence.
By taking that stance they are saying that we should had known that limp mode was going to be an issue and that an unmodded Mustang GT could last longer on a track than the GT350.
This is a huge issue that Ford is choosing to basically ignore and its solution seems to be as half assed as the GT350 program was to start.
Since the trans is what causes the "no fun mode" that is the first issue that needs to be addressed.Far from half assed, this is still a legendary car no matter what.
I feel your pain.
I was tracking a 15 ecoboost performance pack with the thought that it was ready to go. To make it last I had to add a larger radiator, massive intercooler, twin oil coolers, and I was having issues with an overheating diff which is why I sold it.
The ecoboost is the last car I'll ever buy with the intent of tracking that does not have the oil, trans and diff coolers to support it.
Honestly I don't think the trans cooling on this car is as big of a deal as the diff overheating.
