Actual redline?

Probably a stupid question with an easy answer, but, what is the actual redline on our Coyotes? Every article I've read about this engine claims 7000 RPM, however the tach has a red mark and turns red at 6500. Where should I actually be shifting at when racing? I typically run her up to somewhere in the 6750 range.

I believe the fuel cutoff is 7200. The actual red line is 7000 RPM.

It's to tell you to change gear. Only premium package gets it I think.

I'm 99% sure that's correct.

This was definitely the case in the last gen. My '11 base GT doesn't have that feature but the premium cars did.

I think only the tach lights up red.
If your dash is already red, it will get brighter red.
Funny my RX-8 actually had a buzzer telling me I need to shift.

My car barely has 1.5k miles and it is my first manual car so i havent had to balls to redline it yet. 1st and 2nd gear climb too fast and to redline 3rd gear i have to reach pretty high speeds. Someday...

In Sport+ mode (automatic) the GT redline every gear, hence the
RPM gauges flashes. . .amazing thrill ride​
