I hated the heated seats in the 2013. They took forever to heat up and there was only one setting. I found myself wanting cooled seats far more often

I don't think the 17's have Apple carplay and Android auto yet.
Yes they do, both. Now if only Apple would open up Siri to control Spotify and Ford would ditch the CarPlay USB tether requirement. iOS offers option to connect via BT but SYNC3 only accepts CarPlay over USB. I don't have an Android phone but the option is there, too.

Having owned a 2016 and now an exact clone 2017 I can tell you that the 2016 had body panel issues (Ford footed the bill for 8 days of body repair ((failed)) and the dealer took the 2016 back and ordered me a 2017). I can't say I miss the hood ornaments but have noticed that I do not get the clunk in the IRS and the drivetrain seems much smoother, also the clutch is more like the Steeda spring I put in my 2016. The body is straight and all panels fit perfect :-) I would venture to say that many folks out there have misaligned and bent panels and do not even know it or care.
What/where should I look for this when I take a test drive? What are the most obvious signs?

I guess I will be testing out tomorrow when I get my 17.

He's looking at a base mustang. I don't think Apple car play or android come into play.

So to help out the OP. The base ones are all pretty much the same. It comes down to price on which will be the best option. The 15 will be used so there can be some deals there. Better rebates on the 16 and perhaps 0% if you qualify. The 17 will be the most expensive with little to no deals.

I just read that the 17s are down in HP by like 25-30, so when Ford releases the Mach I with 455 HP, the difference will more substantial.

Seriously, I wrote it down, then I read it ...

Blah, just found out the 0% interest is on the 2016 only, and I can't find any base model around me within 100 miles... maybe I'll buy a junker and wait until next year :(

When does this $1000 cash back 0% interest usually kick off? July?

Just shop out of your area. I know it might be a little concerning, but cars move around dealers all the time, and you might be able to get someone to go take a look for you.

FWIW, I bought mine from MD, never saw it in person (obv. never drove it), had it delivered to FL, right to my door :)

Depending what you want, I pulled up plenty within a 300 miles radius of you on Carguru. Even the price of a plane ticket is worth it to drive it home.

I searched within 100 miles which is a 2 hour drive. Trying to avoid the $900 delivery fee. What search tool did you use? Ford's website only lets you search 100 miles at a time based on zipcode

Your local Ford dealer should be able to run a search for you. Mine found me a car over 100 miles away that had everything I wanted and more. It was 0% for 60 months, and $1,000 blue tag special. He had it delivered free of charge to me here. A few days later they went to 0%/72 month. I wish I would have known, but I'm ok with 0% for 60 months. Delivery was free, he sent someone from the dealership to pick it up, however it did put like 150 miles on the car. Even with a delivery charge the 0% will save you much more than that. Most dealers can get cars from other dealers for you.
