Come on. If I can get 37 outta a V8 surely an ecoboost can hit 60mpg.

I should have stayed on the A38 for the other 20 miles and seen what I went up to. To be honest; I just tried to replicate your journey; after 35miles I was at 37.8Mpg but that included city driving and a few blips to a group of caterham drivers who were going absolutely balistic seeing the car.Come on. Yerp, my driveway has chevroned roundabout at the end of it ;)come on we know that was at tick over on the drive way

Mine still seems to vary anywhere between 0.5 to 1MPG, but it's a huge improvement over how it came from the factory.
On a similar run, ecoboost isn't significantly better - just above 40mph (I do this often so will record it next time).
What I have noticed is anything about 70mph massively affects mpg. Obviously tuned for drive cycle efficiency but presume Americans pay little real world attention to anything over highway speeds. Am wondering whether this is solvable with a tune or what else it could be
Iirc its about 2150 or so; havent drove her for a week now. Missing her. Just sit in 6th and then set the car to show the turbo gauge, then youll juat watch the rpm to seethis crossed my mind on the way home yesterday - my thought was 70mph = how ever many rpm = boost. Then I checked and was out of boost at motorway speed. Will have to play again and see exactly what rpm (hence mph) it comes on boost![]()
