Back when I first started driving prices for mid-grade used to be 10 cents more than regular unleaded, and premium was always 10 cents more than mid-grade at most gas stations. Then maybe 2-3 years ago the lowest price increase you could find at any gas station was 15 cents more for mid-grade, and another 15 cents more for premium. Last year, the gas stations in my city upped the prices again to 20 cents more for mid-grade and 20 more cents for premium.

Now, the lowest price you can find anywhere in Southwest Ohio is 25 cents more for mid-grade and another 25 cents more for premium. Making the price difference from regular to premium a whopping 50 cents. That is the absolute cheapest, many gas stations such as Shell and BP charge 80-90 cents more for premium.

Does anyone else face this same dilemma as me or do I live in the worst area for gas prices? I'd like to hear from other people who live in different parts of the country how much they pay for premium gas.

It's typically $0.90 more here. I have to buy it, because I have a tune.

Here in the PNW it's still about .10-.20 difference. Often major metro locations will have steeper prices and greater cost differences between grades.

At Costco in California 91 is 20 cents more than 87. That's all we have. That being said I don't get any better gas mileage using 91 vs 87 so I'm going back to 87 after 6 or 7 last fillups being 91. I don't see any benefit using 91.

Gas prices are so heavenly cheap im enjoying it. Costco wooop!!!! Remember when that crap was almost 5 bucks a few years ago, costing me almost 80 bucks to fill up my 2002 camry rofl. It was a life decision to go to the gas station.

Yea, it's usually ~50 cents more where I live. I deal with it though. But what's more annoying to me, is that pretty much all gas stations stopped displaying their 93 octane price on their big price sign. You don't know the actual price until you drive up to the pump.

In Pa we have more tax with our fuel prices but I see were only .05 cents more than you on premium.

It used to always be 20 cents more for premium over regular here. Now it's usually around 40 cents. $1.77-$2.17 locally. E85 is priced cheap enough to make it a wash vs buying premium, with all the performance benefits the E85 brings. Pretty much a no-brainer.

It's generally 50 cents more here in my part of the Florida panhandle, even at the "cheap" stations like Tom Thumb. I've seen it go as high as $1 a gallon more at a premium gas station though (Shell station on the east side of Niceville, just across the bay from Destin).

They're just scalping consumers, and I hate it. I think I'm going to start putting regular in the GT. It's not like I'll notice much of a difference.

About 30 cents more for 93 but varies a bit. To me it's worth it...I started using 89 then went to 91 and finally made the leap to 93. Never going back.

For the most part, around where I live, its $2.04 for regular, and $2.57 for super duper. Although the exception being the Sunoco station which is at $2.65 for super.

At BJ's by me 93 is $2.58 a gallon and 87 is $2.05. Dirt cheap if you ask me, I remember gas prices nearly double that 10 years ago.
