Jeeze you'd think the stock 350 knob was the holy grail by some people's overreactions
I've played around with one in a 350, it's not that great feeling of a knob and too light. But just because it comes in everyone's favorite car, they automatically think it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Well done OP, that new knob looks great!

That looks like it would leave the shift pattern imprint on my hand, like something from Raiders of the Lost Ark, in the SC sun!

The SoCal sun ain't no better. But I have the best window tint available on to avoid that issue. With my tint, it gets no more hot than the stock knob did

When I installed my gt350 shift knob I applied good amount of RED loctite. So I will be going the same route you did when is time to change it out.

Have the same problem as Tat2bass in getting the knob off.
I can use vice grips and use a pipe for leverage, but the whole shifter turns and I am afraid I'll destroy something if I use too much pressure.

Other than dynamite, any advice?

This could work. However, I wrapped mine with rubber tape to increase the diameter by ~.50". Then I used a strap wrench. You can find them at Lowes near the water filters.

The heat didn't work for me. I live in SoCal, and originally posted this back in August. I can assure you there was no lack of heat.

It just took brute force and messing up the stock knob unfortunately. Whether you use vice grips, or a strap wrench or whatever, it is just gonna take a lot of force. Seems hit or miss with how knobs were applied to everyones cars. My 2015 5.0 knob came off really easy by hand, but this one obviously not so much.

Stop messing with your knobs people, and be proud of the one it was born with.

That is true. I also agree that people shouldn't spend their own money on their own cars to make it how they want it when I don't agree with it....

The stock knob is made with some of the highest grade plastic available....
