I took delivery this weekend and drove it without issue from MN to FL. 1600 miles and 24 hours later, it's home in the garage. No issues along the drive and it was very comfortable! I won't lie, I was happy to get home last night, but the ride was nice and I'm not sore today at all.

I drove Winona to Madison down I39 through Chattanooga and Atlanta and even with it in weather mode in the mountains and comfort steering (after dark and the temps were in the low 30's), it was glued to the road and still had endless power. The sound of the exhaust opening up in the mountains under acceleration was amazing. Ford really hit it out of the park with this car!

Fuel econ average was 21.7 too! Average cruise setting was 78 with bursts up to 90 in a few stretches.

Not much from the road - fast trip!

Pic of the car almost taped up for the trip, sitting next to my dad's 1966 GT Fastback (50 year spread of Mustang) and then at home with my 1970 Torino Cobra and 1994 SN94 convertible in the back ground.

Did you have someone else with you? 1600 miles in 24 hrs is a serious haul.

We drove from Albuquerque to Atlanta in 28 hours this past year. In a 4x4 Tacoma loaded with 2 adults and 2 kids, and a bed full of camping gear. :D

Yes sir! Bought from Sugarloaf Ford. I guess as soon as it was delivered they were having dealers calling offering to pay $10k over to take it, but I had a signed agreement with them (plus I know several people at the dealer).

Drove it! Flew up Thursday AM with super cheap Sun Country tickets and closed the deal, gave some quick rides to friends and family and Saturday hit the road. Roads were in surprisingly good shape and no snow a little south of the WI/IL border.

Awesome!!!

That is one sweet Torino... details?
1970 Torino Cobra, 429 N code, c6, 1 of 1 based on options. just over 50k miles, all numbers matching and 3rd owner. Restored in 1990, trans and motor rebuilt 2 years ago due to too much sitting by the previous owners. A couple of pics from the Fairlane/Torino Nationals last summer at Bristol. Drove it the 12 hours in June from SWFL to there without any AC - Made the drive in the GT350 a cake walk!
