Depends on your dealership, it is not a Ford product, costs the dealer £35 quid and an hours min wage for a valeter to apply it. Cost to you £250 to £300 usually. Forget it either buy better products from somebody like Ultimate Finish and DIY or get a local detailer to do it properly.

As@RSPcooper says, its actually sold by the dealer, its not a Ford thing.

I do have a bit more faith in Diamondbrite as I used to work for Jewelultra and found it was a good product. One of my last meetings before I left was with Ford where I was trying to get them to take it on as an official Ford product.

Mind you, that was about 20 years ago. There are a lot more products out there now and how DB rates against them, I dont know.

20 years is a long time mate. There are so many products available. Wonder how much diamond bright have moved on in the last 20 years?

20 years a go I would have still been using a sponge and 1 bucket and then throwing said buckets contents onto the car to "rinse" it.
I was only 11 mins you

A mate of mine was an apprentice at BM and it was his job to do 16 or so cars a day. Many of which would be prepped for handover with such products. I do remember having diamondbrite on one of my cars at somepoint and I didn't really notice much of an improvement.

I guess my point above is any product has to be applied correctly and by someone with some experience.

Currently my car is with a local detailer who is going to lighten me of £300 and use this Nanolex.

http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/nanolex-car-care-and-detailing-products.html

He seemed good, came well recommended, has some nice motors there being sorted, and used Nanolex on his own car.

I asked him about Zymol, but he told me Nanolex was more hardworking for a car used everyday. (Can only tell you what he told me)

Guess we'll see in a few weeks when I collect it. On holiday at moment.

I turned down the dealers protection package when I picked my car up as I don't think it's worth it. Coincidentally I took it to a detailers yesterday for full siramik treatment on paintwork, windows and inside.
To be fair my paintwork has been looking crap lately and you could see a lot of imperfections, it will be away a week but should look stunning when finished.

My dealer as offered me the paint treatment for free and it's down on my order as zero cost...when my car eventually gets here that is....

Should I trust them and take up the offer? What do you think?

If it's free, why not? It wont hurt, Diamondbrite, In my opinion, isn't worth the money when you can get "Better" at a little more, or apply your own for a fraction of the cost.

It may hurt if the car isn't prepped correctly. I personally still wouldn't take them up on it. My car was hardly clean when I picked mine up. Wouldn't want them to have done anything else to it.
Diamondbrite will come off in 2 weeks regardless ;)!:lol:

Really? I've been considering taking this option off my car and just getting it detailed and protected myself
I'd take it elsewhere, but I don't rate it, others do, For the price of like £250-400 that some dealers will markup for the Diamondbrite, i'd rather take it to a professional and get Gtechniq for a little more, that lasts loner etc.
