Hi guys,

Had my GT for about 2 months now and absolutely loving it! I thought I had best get on to the subject of protecting the paintwork. So what is everyone doing on here and what are your thoughts? Appreciate some options cost more than others!

Many thanks

Steve

Gtechniq CS/CSL/Exo. Protects paintwork against contaminants and makes cleaning easier and less frequent if, like me, you don't get off on waxing... ;)

Depends on the protection - if its to stop all stone chips and such then protection film. I highly rate Paintshield near Peterborough but I am sure there are many.

For ease of cleaning then a ceramic or quartz coat will help a small amount in paint protection but make the cleaning a lot more straight forward

I'm going old school - DIY approach. Had my GT just over a week and I have a lot of detailing supplies already. Added "iron x" (removes contaminants) and a decent spray on wax to my arsenal. Will do my usual method which involves a good snow foam and will give it the clay bar treatment too.

I'm not one for all of the hi tech protection products, although I know they are well worth the investment.

I enjoy the process, and I like not spending hundreds of ÂŁÂŁÂŁ even more :D

I had Diamondbrite applied by the dealer, it seems to work, after a year never polished. The wheels are easy to clean brake dust off. I use their shampoo & every other wash the conditioner. You can get the two part pack off ebay for DIY.

Anyone had experience of the Kochchemie exterior protection pack? I think this is the route I am going down.
