Tomster, please post or PM your list of 5-10K adm deals on R models.
Thx!
The R I have ordered is 10K with a $900 dealer fee waiver which makes it 9Kish. Would you like to see the order? I am currently working another avenue in that price range because I don't want to wait for the build.

There was a thread recently where people got 5K and even MSRP.

Like I said, 20K all day long, 10K attainable, 5K is a steal.

If you have any leads, I've been looking at getting an R.

Thanks in advance!

So am I. A while ago, I posted a very long list of dealers in the country who had R's and 350's available or on order.

My R is ordered for sub 10K, and I am always looking for immediate delivery. When it is parked in my garage, I will be happy to pass along a lead, but I probably won't be looking anymore after that point :headbonk:

I don't need to see any paper work, that's between you and your dealer. I was mainly thinking of Next Phase who was looking for an R at that price. .

machsmith scored two himself as did PP0001, I did, and people in the thread above did too. They will not land in your lap. You have to go and get them.

It comes out to about $17k ADM. In the Southwest, they have been going for $30k ADM. If I sell the GT350, I wouldn't imagine that I would lose much of anything.
Good luck I've been trying to sell mine dealers are at 50-52k max

I paid $10,000 over but I personally wouldn't have blinked at $17,000 because it's what I want. Heck how many 2016 are there..not many. I love the rarity it brings. I'd say get it if you love it and doesn't stress you financially.

For those asking about how many R's were built, Ford released the 2016 numbers....

Based on my count there were only 98 built for the US and 49 sold abroad. 147 total R's if I'm adding right.
These were not the final numbers, not even close.

~500Rs and 5500 non-Rs

At what point should you forget the GT3 RS and just get a 911 Carrera S and just add some suspension parts? At what point should you forget the M3 and just get a 335i and put a tune and coilovers on it? Its a dumb argument.
Not exactly a dumb argument; you posted asking for opinions, he is simply shining light from one perspective on the topic. No need for rude comments in return IMO.

For me, the aftermarket R spoilers look to have relatively poor build quality, and personally I hate attempting to make a car look like something it is not. The carbon wheels are something else that simply cannot be replicated, and the cost is upwards of 15K.

Personally I believe the extra money for the R would be worth it. It is an extremely limited production numbers vehicle (in american car culture), and being able to own something so unique and so rare is hugely exciting to me. Even though I will likely never routinely track my R (no tracks in province, have to travel just to track it) and know the benefits of the lighter wheels and stickier rubber, I just LOVE knowing that they are there and that it is truly unique and special.

My $0.02

10k over would be my limit and it would need to be within a 1-2 drive of my home. I had an opportunity at one last year and eventually passed on it since it would need to be transported as well.
