Good stuff.

Not sure why the "tune required" picked up so much more. It's literally the same intake and MAF lol
Lund may be adjusting other parameters than just the MAF tables to make additional use of the increased flow.

Yes, or a bit more aggressive with the timing. I've logged the "no tune" with my tuner. Fueling was still within 2%

Yeah, I was most amazed by that and that's why I'm upset I didn't get a log with the "No Tune" version  But hey, the "No Tune" kit did exactly as it was supposed to do

What were the log results on the run you did get. Specifically IAT, and timing?

I think this also shows that air moving through the grille at speed helps more than people would give it credit for. They clearly were happy with your 2.5mph gain by the comments. I only gother "hope it was calibrated" and other comments about poor air quality affecting the VE when they didn't like my back to back results.

This info is for Run #4 where the car went 118.30 MPH, Lund Tune/PMAS intake with stock MAF ("Tune Req'd" configuration).

The run started with IAT at 111*, went up to 117* running through first and then dropped after that finishing at 91*.

Total timing saw as much as 30* with KNOCKR showing -5 from about 6100 to 6500 RPM in 4th and steadily dropped to a total of 26* from 6650 RPM to the end of the pull which was 6900 RPM with KNOCKR showing -.77.

Nice to see some track results. 4 mph increase is impressive

I ordered the no tune version, which I shall fit to my car and compare to before and after. Car made 440BHP with JDM tune on stock intake. I shall see what the intake gives in no tune-configuration.

I shall then maybe give Lund tune a try as for $200 it is not much and JDM unfortunately do charge for tune updates unlike Lund who do it for free and as Lund seem to have this intake pretty well dialled in makes sense to give them a try, so I can compare on the dyno:

JDM stock intake: 440BHP
JDM PMAS no tune: TBA
Lund PMAS tune required: TBA

I might be mistaken, but it doesn't seem that the other intakes on the market at the moment offer these kind of results. Gonna read a bit into that 50 page monster thread where this product was announced and consider purchasing it.

Thanks for the information and testing Derek. Some winters down here in south Louisiana we get really close to 0 DA, I'd really love to trap 120+ with a Lund Flexfuel tune, intake, and full catless exhaust.

Well there's not much to consider after reading all of that, I will order this intake once I get home from work tonight. I really appreciate PMAS spending the time he did answering questions and standing behind his product. You rarely see someone spending so much time answering questions from regular car owners like that, especially going into such detail. Heck, even something so intuitively obvious (at least to me) as the snorkel was tested and shown to decrease performance. PMAS seems to have covered all their bases.

Thanks for putting in the effort, I hope a lot of other people are as impressed as I was.
