Big  for Waxit.
Wish I could say the same. Sent an e-mail last week asking a question so I could add something to my order. No response. Follow up via facebook message, they've read it but still not responded.

Pretty awesome service I must say....

That's a shame to hear as I shop with them all the time and have never had an issue with their service. The only problem I occasionally have is them not stocking exactly what I want when I need it and taking forever for it to come back into stock.

They did respond saying very busy week. So I took a punt with the order Wednesday night, shipped yesterday and arrived this morning.

They chucked in a decent bonus, I assume for the miscommunication. Didn't ask for it, and they definitely didn't have to but happy customer in the end.

I have been researching different YouTube/Web sites into HP washers and the recommendation is that no more than 1200PSI or 100/120Bar be used to safely clean a vehicle.
It also recommended that you get what you pay for. The issue here is that if you spend more with the hope of getting a longer lasting HP washer unit, the PSI rating increases. So not having any first hand knowledge on HP washers and their features, can the pressure be adjusted down to say 1200PSI? If so, are there any models recommended.
Thanks in advance

I recently went through this dilemma and I ended up buying the Gerni Super PowerGrip 140.3.

I went with it for the following reasons
- Long Hose with a reel 9m
- Also a place to attach the power cable.
- It has a metal pump
- 5 year warranty (compared with most other 2 year warranties)
- It is 2030/140bar psi but I can dial down the pressure with the Powergrip handle (6 stops of variability). I am not sure what it drops down to on the lowest setting
- It was on sale

So far I am happy with it, I also purchased the auto nozzle which will be ever easier on the cars paint

My new autobrite Lance and snow foam came in today, it's a shame it's raining because I just want to play with my new toy haha

I picked it up for I'm bunnings, I got them to price match just tools and beat their price by 10% so it came to $422 which isn't bad considering RRP is around $599 or $649

Has anyone had any experience with Metrovac blower driers?

https://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/metrovac/blaster_sidekick

https://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/metrovac/vac_n_blow

I really like the idea of these, but wonder whether the smaller and more affordable sidekick is just too small to be of any real value and one would be far better off with the higher capacity model.

My thinking though is, rather than using it as the sole means of drying, use it more for drying in the hard to get at places as an addition to micro-fibre waffle cloths, in which case the smaller unit is probably adequate.

Keen to hear of anyone with experience or thoughts about this

I can't comment on fully blow drying the car.
Because the S550 is so good at holding water in certain places (front grille area anyone?), I'm using an 18v Makita blower. It's lightweight and has a rubber snout, so there's NO chance of damage if you accidentally brush the car with it.
It's plenty powerful enough to do the job.

The big reservation I have with leaf blowers is there is no filtration to stop particles being picked up by the blower and then fired at the paintwork.

Have you taken any precautions to rig up some sort of filter on the air intake?

TBH, I hadn't even thought about it... I guess it would be easy enough to rig something up though.
The snorkel on this unit can be shifted to the side showing in the picture, converting from blower to sucker.
So I suppose a piece of cloth could be secured in place quite easily.
