I am resistant to change things under the hood but that highlighted 5.2 does look good. Helps bring things out of the shadows from the strut brace.

You don't know how many people ask at car shows is that's the 5.0 Coyote and I have to correct them it's a 5.2 Voodoo.

5.0 435 could you pm me on how you did this.

I don't open my hood at car shows unless someone asks me to, most people won't know what they are looking at anyway, and couldn't tell it from a 5.0.

Can you tell us on how you did the 5.2L logo.....

Thanks.
The 5.2 logo is on the driver side and is behind the tower brace. Most people can't see it and I bet most owners don't know it's there. I simply cut the panel in half and moved the 5.2 logo in front of the brace. I used a silver sharpie to paint the letters and numbers. I used the existing hardware and bolts. Nothing that couldn't be put back to stock.
The last cruise I was @ had a lot of people asking about the car. Since I look @ all the 400+ cars @ the cruise I'm not around to answer all the questions. This helps people of all ages know this is 5.2. Its factory correct just in a place where people can see it.
There were a lot of people that were nuts about this car. I've owned a lot of Shelby's over the years but never had people ask to hear it run. This cruise gets a lot of mustangs and people are very knowledgable about Shelby's. Everyone has their hoods up.

These are the two panels that are on the engine. The bottom one is on the drivers side. I simply cut it and moved it in front of the tower brace. Then just attach both pieces back in place with the same hardware.

Did you price up a new one before you cut it in half?

You can put it back to stock and nobody will notice . Each piece is held by its own nut. You can take the silver off with goof off. The plate is not cut only the the piece with the nut attachment.

The Mustang team did a great job on the 12/13 boss Engine dress up. Ford performance ( SVT) did ok but the letters should be highlighted IMO . The small piece with the signatures need the 5.2 highlighted in silver. Maybe blue valve covers might look good.
This is what I did to mine - added the blue Boss coil covers. Looks great and is easily reversible.

Do the coil covers just snap on ? I've never changed them in the past .
Thanks in advance. The blue covers would look really good IMO. I had a 13 boss and I always liked them.
