EDIT************* UPDATED IMPRESSION ON SECOND PAGE********

So I've had my Paxton on a few days now and I'm loving it but slightly conflicted

First a shout out to Terry at beefcake racing, thanks for the great pricing and answering my phone calls about stupid install questions that might be no Brainers to everyone else

I ordered a satin kit with id1000,vortech bap, 3.6 pulley , jlt intake and Lund tune.

During my first WOT data logs with greg at Lund my first impression was wow this kinda feels slow.

I only did one WOT run and he said tune was done logs look great
and maybe he just nailed it first try or maybe not still to be determined.

I must say it drives totally stock out of boost so full props to Lund the street manners are fantastic.

The car does feel deceptively fast gears come and go quick!! but I have one concern I'm still on stock pzero tires and 3.73 pp gears. and if I go WOT in second it sticks and doesn't spin at all. Maybe everyone was being a little overkill by saying drag radials are a must but I don't see it.

Maybe it's the 90 degree heat with high humidity were having in PA or maybe i should be looking for a boost leak, anyone have an opinion on this?

Order a torque booster use the 10lb spring. You will need drag radials after you install it, but get a retune with it. My 2012 made 641/557 at the rear wheels with 4:10's and a tremec!

Mine is the same way. Although I have the 3.8 pulley and Paxton tune, so I have less power than you. I can hook 2nd gear from WOT no problem with my 3.73 and PZero's. If I shift from 1st to 2nd that's a different story lol, I spin through half of it.. these 90 degree days don't help either. The car feels SOOO much faster in the morning when it's cool out vs. on my way home in the extreme heat...

I think its the way the power comes on, it climbs but never rips your face off like a pd blower will. Hell my stock genesis feels faster with the 2.0t. But I raced a friends sti with a built motor bigger turbo and I put 2 cars on him from 2nd to top if third. Get on a dyno or to the track to see what she can really do!

Exactly, the power is so smooth that sometimes it doesn't feel fast as it really is.. After I destroyed my friends BMW M4 DCT Automatic while granny shifting my 6 speed I was a true believer lol..

I have 305 pilot super sports in the rear and mine doesn't hook when the boost kicks in, in second gear even in warmer weather (80+). It could just be the roads in Chicago. The max my car put down was 625whp and 487wtq with Beefcake special Paxton and stock pulley 3.8. I am using the Steeda intake assembly instead of the JLT.

You car will perform totally different in cooler weather, 60 degrees being the optimal temp for noticeable increases. it feels like it has 50 more hp!

Hmmm, sounds like it could be the weather, then demon coyote makes that post and it has me wondering again haha.

Looks like we have similar mods except you have headers and a 3.8 pulley vs my stock Manifolds and 3.6 pulley.

I couldn't hook with pirellis when I was N/A lol. I have no clue how much power my car is making but I raced a couple fast cars. A 750rwhp fully built e85 s197 and was right next to him. Also raced a lambo huracan and put a few cars on him. Video was on Instagram. Not gonna lie sometimes the car feels lazy and sometimes feels really fast. I want to get a torque booster

It will spin for sure but you will still be moving forward quickly. Dont use street tires and make sure your suspension is set up right...dr's + suspension. How do you think 1000 hp cars run 8s-9's? they dont do it spinning they hook!

Are you sure you turned traction control off?

Yes pressing and holding the traction control button for 6 or so seconds until advanced trac off displays.

and Dominant1:

I dont want the car to spin, I like that the car hooks. just more of a concern that it wont spin stock pzero tires with 3.73's just making sure I dont have an issue with the install before I decide to throw more go fast parts at the car.

Mine feels pretty quick. My best mph in the 1/8th mile so far has been 97.8 mph. This was also with traction issues. I am also looking forward to getting the torque booster for a little more umph.

looked at your log, knock sensor is happy, your seeing 17 to 17.5 degrees of timing.

should run pretty decent there.

from a 2500 roll or so, you won't feel a big umpf

but in the upper rpms rowing through the gears, she will run very stout. when your racing, your gonna be coming in on the shifts around 6500+ and thats where all your power / torque is.

thats a solid mid 10 second combo there if you can hook,

get some torco and octanium and we can get the timing bumped more for the track / street as well too

these cars will make power up to 26-28 degrees of timing, but thats way too much for pump,

you should be making 610-660 depending on cats, headers, ect..
