What are those rusty looking things just behind the flange past the collector of each header? I saw those under my car when I was looking around and wondered WTF they are...

Ummmmmm dude. I'm not sure who put your car on the lift like that but I'd be pissed.
First of all you should never lift on the front K-member like that and second, the rear arms are also not in the correct place. Hope it didn't dent the floor. :paddle::headbonk::frusty::eyebulge:
I was thinking the same thing

Which kooks kit is this and how much? The kits I've seen for sale only include the X pipe then you have to modify the stock exhaust. This kit eliminates and y modification or cutting correct since it connects to the mufflers?
1 7/8 LTs with O/R X - not sure what retail was. Lethal was going 15% off all Kooks.

I was told they are counter weights to reduce NVH and prevent the possibility of getting a false knock by the O2 sensors.

I was thinking the same thing
Never put my car up before, it may be wrong but nothing looks damaged and I trust them. I wouldn't have know myself so better them than me.

I would actually proactively remove that plastic cover on the driver's side that they put the lift pad on.

you probably wont notice any fuel line pinch or wiring harness damage until badness happens.

It's at least worth the 5 mins it will take to remove the cover and visually inspect the car. I'd be nervous as hell

Judging my the photos and the position of the lines, I highly doubt any damage occurred. It's fine

the fuel line runs right under where the pad is. as does a part of the harness. it snakes under the plastic bit and extends up to the fuel tank.

I agree. Like he said. It takes minutes to inspect it. It's worth a look. I can't believe a reputable shop that does mustangs did this. I'd be very pissed off. That's pretty ignorant of them. Just my 2 cents.

Not underneath the plastic where it's jacked up on. It's running along side the beam.
if it's my car? I'm taking the 5 minutes out of my day to make sure some knucklehead lift jockey drooler didnt screw up my car.

If the pad placement ended up exactly where it is in the pic, who's to say it didnt start somewhere worse?

I'd be checking every inch of that install based on the carelessness of what i see in the pic.

Thus why, like voodoo, no one touches my cars but me. I've had crap experiences in salt of the earth shops and high end shops alike. Attention to detail is far less pervasive in the aftermarket auto industry than it used to be.

They could of lifted it on the subframe right next to the header, pinch weld where the lift point is or placed a block where the two bolts are next to the pinch weld (where jack rails or jack blocks go). Same in the rear. There are two large bolts where the jack rails or jack blocks go that's a safe place to lift on. But Jesus Christ. Not on the points as they did on this car. This picture shows you exactly where not to lift!
Are the areas in red where you are describing?

I'd inspect the area under the black covers. Those cover fuel lines, fluid cooling lines and other things - and they aren't meant to take the weight of the car. Make sure they didn't pinch or rupture anything.
