I use a SCOSCHE mount that clips into one of the three vents. I used it the other week to go to the beach and had no issues.

It is not really glue, so to speak. It is a double sided adhesive tape. It comes off clean.

I toss it in the basket with my dog, otherwise it slides all over the place and on to the floor.

If she's not with me, it stays in my pocket.

Thanks! It's a dog booster seat so she can look around. She has a harness that clips into it to keep her safe. I toss a blanket in there so she's on something soft and she's good to go.

My I-phone 5S with Magpul case fits there nicely, but I normally just keep in my pants pocket.

Scoche magic mounts work great. I have 4 of them in the car currently. They come off fine if you know how to remove 3M double sided tape (hair dryer + dental floss). They are very secure, and extremely convenient.

I know that's the Moddication 8" screen with nav like mine but what are you displaying on the audio screen, is something being synced from your phone?

Pretty sure that is a sync 3 unit - given it is a premium car.
