MGW shifter and new shocks like the koni wouldve corrected those main problems. Koni completely transformed the ride quality of the car to one like a luxury sportscar
What did you adjust your konis to ride at?

OP's trade must have been fairly expensive. I have a feeling he could have got MGW and Paxton for the cost of the trade. Can't imagine there is much traffic in Kansas, and its relatively cool, so it should be a great place for a supercharged Mustang. 650 hp + manual transmission

After two months of owning my GT PP I accepted the fact that I hate it... Traded it in today for a GT/CS AUTO! I hated the PP and 6m. Ride was not great, gearing was too much, and the clunky chunky 6m was a big turnoff. The A6 is super sweet! And I am much happier now. Even upgraded a lil with the CS, and 401A electronics package. Shaker pro is nice upgrade to actually have a lil bass.
What did you come from to hate the manual so much?

3.31 manual is the perfect daily driver IMO, if you want to pass people shift to 5th on the highway otherwise 6th gear gets me 28mpg on long trips which blows my mind with a 435hp v8! 3.31 much easier to drive in Chicago winter as well

That's good freeway mileage. I might see 24-25 if I kept it at 55 or so. At my pace my horses are getting 21 or so.

Yeah i could never go back to an mt-82 especially after replacing 1 with a tremec magnum and experiencing the superiority of the magnum compared to it! let me tell im really impressed with how fast the car is with these 3:55's. Instead of going with a blower set up for my new wheels like with my 2012, I'm going with a na build to 500 rwhp...should be tons of fun. You made the right decision..... See you at the american muscle show if your going!

What color is your car post pics

not sure I understood this. Plenty of people here have Paxtons and ProChargers that like high RPM. One guy has a Paxton and broke 6th gear, while "power shifting" from 5th->6th. He's definitely not your average driver.

Seems like the Ford custom build page could offer both MT82 and Tremec, along with an option for a ceramic racing clutch. Let people choose, and price accordingly.
That would be ideal. And with most things the truth is somewhere in the middle. Of course there are some that are holding fine to abide but there is no denying the number that are failing from not much more then spirited drIcing at stock power levels

With only 4500 miles on my S550, I can give my opinion on it so far

NOTCHY.... lol

I already changed the fluid to Royal Purple with some Synchromesh and it is a lot better.

However, I feel the car makes TO MANY clunking noises as a new car. I have done alot
of rear subframe mods to help BUT the noises are still there. I am under the impression it maybe the 2 piece driveshaft BUT do not want to spend the $900 to find out its NOT the issue and that the noises are coming from the tranny...

as a side note...
I have been driving manual transmissions since I was 14 and have only owned 2 auto vehicles since I started driving 30 yrs ago. I can admit I am NOT 100% confident in this transmission yet and after reading this post am somewhat concerned...Time will tell how this tranny will hold up.

Congrats on making a change that you liked.

I've always been a manual guy myself. Automatics just tend to put me to sleep. The Tremec in my GT350 is a good transmission, but I did like the MT-82 in my 2015 GT even better. The MT-82 was very smooth shifting but still had good positive feel. And the shifts were nice and short as well.

Actually, no he doesn't. The MT-82 was refreshed before the 2015's came out.
eh, still didnt cure all the issues, the mt82 in the race red PP 2015 I nearly bought last August still felt like rubbish so............

I definitely wanted V8 with a manual transmission. If not the Mustang, then Camaro or Challenger. GT350 if it could be had below MSRP. If you twisted my arm, I would buy an F150 5.0 Auto and at least get a 6.5 foot bed and 7000 pounds of tow rating. And maybe the FX4 option, because the FX4 sticker looks cool.
