I may be wrong, but I know of 4 of them who have their cars or been delivered to dealers; RobMJ, JB, Conrad & Tono?

Mine went on the Autostar to Southampton the day after yours went to Liverpool, and I've had no positive news from my Dealer, other than its imminent........for some reason, mine has to go to Warwick first before it ends up in Northampton, its a holding compound for Allen Ford, so I'm guessing it will be around 2 more weeks before I get my hands on it

Hah! I'm genuinely amazed at how there doesn't appear to be any information around about how long it's going to take to get a few hundred cars from the docks to the dealers. Okay, I appreciate sending a car across the world takes time, but can't believe nobody appears to know what's going on. Getting frustrating, this...

My dealer is about a 10 minute drive from the docks. Can gaurentee there is a wait as long as yours
I could probably push it there in a couple of hours!

In most cases your dealer can call the docks your car is at, and ask for it to be bought up, once done, it'll be bought up.

Now a spanner in the works is if the franchise has it's own mass holding, which if quicker, they'll bring the car too.

SO you car could go:

Docks -> holding -> dealership

The 'holding' bit, (Someone mentioned alan ford) is then controlled by that franchises central team to dispatch the cars as and when.

I have to agree with how everyone feels, surely its in Fords own interest to get the cars to the Dealers and get the money asap, 200+ cars at Liverpool and Southampton x £35000 average is a tidy sum.

It's within Fords interest yes. But it's a very double edged sword.

If the dealership can't actually fit you in, for PDI, or into their lot for holding, they won't bother bringing it up until they can

If the dealership is not proactive, they will let the car run through the process and leave it to come when it comes. these people are known as 'NMJ' or Not my Job people, and will just do their job and wait. It's a nuisance, you require some luck, and some persistence on your own side.

Sometimes blank threats, or threats in general, may work. Just a simple, 'Put me onto the general manager' and that might spark something up.
