and I already have a mechanical issue. It sounds like the front left brake rotor is scraping. Making a right turn especially produces an awful racket. Started yesterday.
Could the rotor be warped already. If Ford using aluminum foil for rotor material?:frusty:

I would suspect a trapped stone in there somewhere

More than a few times I had gotten a terrible sound like dragging a piece of metal just backing up or similar low speed maneuver off the RF but it has gone away and I haven't heard it in months or thousands of miles.

If it makes you feel any better, I have 600 miles on the clock and I have a HUGE (to me) rock chip on my passenger side door. At first I thought it was a door ding due to it being right on the crease of the door, but its rough like something jagged hit it. Also have a thud noise coming from the rear of the car when I shift or let off the gas while driving. It may be normal but it drives me crazy.

Also, getting pebbles stuck in the brake rotor will cause horrible noises. May be the issue.

Mine was a bent backing plate.

I had the same problem before and its just a stone trap on between rotor at backing plate. Remove the wheel and look at it. I hope it solve your problem.

yeah the backing plates bend easy i had to fix mine when i did my lowered springs i must have leaned on it . was scraping a bit easy fix

For about 5 miles I had an awful screaching from one of my brake rotors. Fixed itself quickly (thank goodness).
