I have not attempted to tie them in yet, I did get a custom wire harness from oemaudio that broke out the can bus wires, but I have not yet purchased a device to convert the can bus signals into the inputs for the head unit.

On a side not I have not yet, and will not have to cut a single wire. The harness is key to being able to go back to stock for sale or trade in.

Need information on the install procedure. Is that just stuck over the top of the factory unit. I see toggle switches so is that an 8" screen behind it? Forgive me, I'm not up to speed on all the S550 packagaes yet.

to install this (or any double din unit) the way i did you need a premium bezel. there are some on ebay now and members here selling them as well. you remove or relocate the sync stuff, including the screen. there is no screen behind the double din unit. now if you went with a shallow double din like the parrot smart or that alpine car play or whatever it is, you might not have to remove all the sync stuff. as part of my install i also removed the cd player which itself is the size of an entire radio, so there is nothing remaining of the factory sound system.
