What was the cost to Opticoated by Dan?
Here you go

2 coats of Opticoat pro+ and 1 extra layer of the Opticoat pro+ // both separate coats over a period of 2 days at the shop plus full preparation carpets coated and leather seats and wheels with warranty card // Lifetime if maintained or 7 years.
Usually -> $900 exterior + $390 interior + $120 extra coat + $100 wheels ($1510 RRP)
But he has agreed to do it all for $1100!! To get this price tell him you are from MUSTANG6G Forum & he will look after you.
Recently I messaged him on facebook, and he mentioned that everyone who goes with this package will also get annual inspection completely free of charge to maintain the lifetime warranty for the opticoat.

Also had my mustang Opticoated by Dan at Ultimate Car Detailing about 1 month ago (Kevr group deal). He did a fantastic job with the car looking amazing.
I have been waiting for him to send me the photos so I can post them but still haven't received them. They are probably on his facebook page but as I don't have an account, I can't be sure.

You should still be able to see the photos via the link

Edit: I'm assuming that is your car haha

Just got the Mustang6g Opticoat Pro + package completed on my car and the car is super smooth with a mirror finish.

Dan did an exceptional job and spent an entire 4 days to put 4 coats of Opticoat on my pride and joy. Got the Interior and the wheels coated as well

Here is a few pics of the exceptional work Dan did to my car. The bloke is exceptional in his service even picked me up from my place to go pick up my car. I highly recommend mustang owners to get it done!

It has a brilliant finish StormR. Do you know whether a clay bar was used during the preparation? Also did they spray on the opticoat and then buff it?

Morning guys - I have a question / unsure which way to go.

Do I get opti coat or a 3m clear wrap . At $1100 for a detail you can get a full wrap done on our car

What would provide better protection??

According to Dan it went through a decontamination wash and a 2 stage correction to amplify and silken smooth out the paintwork before the layers of opticoat pro + went on.

Last time I spoke to dan, I asked him the same question.. he definitely does use a clay bar during prep. I believe he applies opticoat by hand (manually), which in my opinion is a lot better, hence most detailers charge 1500+$ AUD for this package (exterior + interior + wheels).

Great question! In my opinion, if I could get a full car wrapped for $1100, I would get that for sure. But unfortunately, full car wraps cost upwards of $3000+
Hence this is an option for those that dont want to spend so much money, & also opticoat makes life a lot easier while cleaning due to its hydrophobic properties.

Thanks 2STANG for that valuable advice.

It reaffirms my view that this sort of treatment may be applied by the amateur if they know what they are doing. All is needed is research.

Nanotechnology sealants for interior and exterior is available on the market. Investing in the sealants, clay bars, microfibre cloths etc will be enough to maintain your vehicle for at least 4 years (every 8 months) and you will still save half the amount of money. Just my IMO.

So for the avid Mustanger, this is a skill you must acquire, nothing to it, and so much of a pleasure doing it yourself. A monkey can do it.

So I picked the car up yesterday after a few days at Ultimate Detailer - extremely happy!

Dan is the nicest guy to deal with, he loves cars and is a true professional in what he does. He did an amazing job and the car looks beautiful! For $1,100 it's definitely worth it!

Also while I was there we did window tinting too, which turned out awesome (didn't go with darkest legal as I wanted something functional).

See attached photo after driving it in the rain, notice how the water just beads and literally falls off!

For piece of mind and ease of maintainance, it's money well spent in my opinion :) More pics to come once the weather gets better...

I think everyone here is referring to Opticoat.

What's the deal regarding ongoing maintenance - washing, detail spray etc.
