Swift Springs/Koni Combination

Not my first Koni setup (my 3rd) but with the Swift lowering springs this is a home run!! I am putting my Ford Racing struts and shocks up for sale with less than 1000 miles on them. I guessed at the settings with car up in air and will not be adjusting it anytime soon. It is damn near perfect. The only thing that might have me change springs again is to the Sportlines. I feel that a tad bit more lowering will be absolutely spot on. But for now I will be enjoying car. Now I can call this a sports car. Has the power Roush S/C and now the handling!! Is there any members with Sportlines running these Konis??

Koni all the way. I knew what to expect and Koni fulfilled again. I am going to sell my Ford Racing here local cheap and never look back.

The Swift springs being linear with an awesome ride really let me roll hard through the turns. If I was not so tired I would still be driving. Nice cool evening for a supercharger.

Another thing I would like to mention is that other applications that use Konis have had issues with raising the car just a bit. BMWs for one. I measured this afternoon after driving around running errands and did not raise nor lower.

Missed out on the Swift springs. My friend had a friend close by who wanted them and I didn't realize that's what he was trying to tell me... Anyone know the specs on these vs GT350R springs?

Question: How are you getting your Camber adjusted in rear? I might go with Sportlines if when I get wheels and tires the fender gap is not ridiculous.

Swift springs is the shizzziiittt. Absolutely amazing. I wish they gave us a bit more drop than an inch. 1.4-1.3 would be perfect. Here is the link with the Spec-R info. http://www.swiftsprings.net/products/sport-compact/spec-r.html

Make sure you cut the Eibach bumpstops down or your ride quality will be the same no matter what shocks/struts you run. My car was sitting on the Eibach stops at ride height. I cut them down immediately because ride would have been rougher than normal.

What was your bumpstop final length? I don't remember how the eibachs compared to the stock ones. I know the rears didn't go on to easy. My stock bumpstops in the rear were different on both sides. Finding that made me glad springs were my first mod.

With the shocks and struts I'm looking for the car to feel more planted and controlled. Right now the sportlines are very stiff which I like, but small bumps/dips at lower speeds really upset the chassis. With larger bumps/dips at highway speeds I can feel the weight of the car go light. I think the term is Porpoising. I think the lack of rebound on the non pp shocks/struts is the reason for this. Bump stops would be more of a overly stiff compression problem. That's not a problem for me right now. Maybe after the shocks and struts Ill notice it.

I didn't measure their length after I cut them but I cut about 3/4" off roughly. Eibachs are shorter but I didn't measure how much shorter they were vs stock probably about 1/2" shorter than stock. For what it's worth I don't notice any of those issues on my car. It feels much more planted than stock less floaty and it doesn't rock like stock (my wife has a stock suspension 2016 GT so i can easily compare hers to mine on the same roads. Eibach antisway bars are my next mod to kill the little bit of body roll left (not much but still not as tight as my 2015 Focus ST was).

I just finished installing this setup on my car yesterday, swift spec-r springs with Koni yellows and I also installed MM camber plates. The car feels so much better now, I don't have to wait for the chassis to settle when I change direction, the ride quality isn't much stiffer than stock on the middle setting for the shocks and all brake dive and lift on power is gone. I love them.

I said the exact same thing to my friend. The drop is really nice but if it was just a tiny tiny bit more it would be perfect.
