For non-racers who want a warranty, these seem to be the only 2 options.
What are the pros and cons of both?
I know the Roush warranty costs $1k and the Edelbrock is 'free', otherwise are very similar in coverage...

Whipple also offers a warranty for $450 I believe.

That's news to me...I'll investigate.

The $$ limits on the Whipple coverage are 1/2 the Roush limits, but the cost is 1/2. So it comes down to how much are you comfortable with.

Other consideration is who will do the install & do they stand behind their work. One of the reasons I picked the Roush was it was Ford Dealer installed & backed. So I can go to 1 place for all my issues & let them sort "who" (Roush or Ford) should be paying for the work.

The trade off is a more conservative tune & a bit less power. For me, with no intentions of ever taking it to the strip, I was more interested in the warranty coverage than gleaning every last bit of HP from the setup. The 670 hp is more than you can realistically use on the street (and I live in the boonies).

It comes down to how you intend to use the car, what your risk tolerance levels are when it comes to warranty, and how much fiddling about your are willing to deal with if there is an issue.

^Thanks.
I like the idea of the Ford/Roush relationship also, but my local dealer can't produce evidence of recent installs...
How about being able to keep the strut bar if it comes with one?
How about having to grind on nearby parts for fitment?
How about other little things like that?

You can't keep the strut bar with any PD supercharger. I would choose the Roush over edelbrock. The roush is a proven SC and will have a higher ceiling if you decide you want more power down the road.

I would go to the Roush site & get a list of the authorized dealers near you, then interview them all & visit their lots. Not all their dealers are the same as I found out. The one that's just 6 miles from me is clueless & only seems interested in simple bolt on's (exhaust, CAI etc.) and cosmetic stuff, hence I ended up 70 miles away in Tampa. If they don't have any Roush cars on their lot, I'd be wary.

As Luther said, no strut bar with any PD blower. It's mostly for looks anyway + cheap & easy to shore up the front with the Steeda G-trac brace.

There has been much ado over the grinding down the nubs on the block, cutting the K-brace (some cars). Didn't bother me any, you can't really see it anyway & you can still return the car to stock if you wanted (make sure you keep all the stuff they remove for the s/c install).

The Edelbrock was not available @ the time I had mine done, so I did not look into it. No idea what's involved with their install. I did download & read the install instructions for the Roush & watched the CJPony parts video even tho I had no intention of DIY just to see what was involved.

It's that 'cutting the k brace' part that makes me wince. It sounds like a structural part.
I did go to the roush site and found one local dealer, but like I said, no real feedback yet from them. I'll have to try harder.

I guess if you really want to keep the brace, a new taller hood is in order...

Something to consider, and I only say this because I'm not real familiar with the Edelbrock system other than it's similar capacity to the Roush. I would strongly research the cooling system associated with the Edelbrock. I can vouch for the Roush. I recently gave 90 minutes of joyrides to family members at a gathering, 30 to and from a desolate road and 60 minutes of fun intended to scare the living hell out of some non car types. The last fun run was as strong as the first.

A better testimonial would be the recent victory by the Brenspeed/Gas Monkey 15 Mustang at One Lap of America. This car is very similar to mine both engine and suspension wise. I'm not sure if you're familiar with One Lap or not but it's basically a bunch of automotive masochists spending a full week trying to destroy perfectly good cars.

I know the latest iterations from Whipple and Roush are much improved in cooling, the Edelbrock may be also but I would certainly make sure if you plan on any extended play with the car.

If you're not so concerned with the warranty I would also recommend the Phase 2 Roush system right off the bat. It's just better with a noticeable increase in power, throttle response, and idle quality.

Do you have the Roush tune? I noticed you have headers.....
