Apparently, being successful having nice things is a bad thing. The complete disrespect people have for others' stuff these days is infuriating. I would almost rather someone break into it for valuables than to know they vandalized it for no reason at all.
I had an 86 camaro v6 in 1998/99. It was old. The interior was crap. It had a fresh Maaco paint job and some cheap custom wheels. I liked it. It wasn't a race car and I didnt try to impress anyone with it. One night I came out of wal mart and found a milkshake all over it.
A friend got a 2010 Camaro SS brand new. He sold it after less than a year because people were always messing with it. Drinks, tobacco spit, parking right up against it when he was on the outskirts of the lot. Said he was too nervous about it to drive it any more. The guy was 45, raised 3 kids and finally bought something for himself and other people wouldn't let him enjoy it. What a shame. The mindset of some people is just astounding.
My wife's explorer got dinged a while back and they left a note that their kid did it. It put a small but deep gouge in the body line on the fender, right down into the metal. The kid must have flung the door open full speed. My wife let it go. I have tremendous respect for anyone these days that leaves a note. Then a few weeks ago we came out of a restaurant and my wife saw a lady looking at her door, then she got in her car and left. My wife didn't really process it or give it any thought at the time, then a few days ago she saw a tiny little ding. She thinks her explorer is cursed. It's hard to see and maybe the lady didn't see it, but how damned hard is it to watch your door when you get out. I would leave a note on the crappiest vehicle if I damaged it in the slightest.
And the person that posted about the milk jug on the corolla..seriously? Why would someone think it's OK to do that? The little shit like that is just infuriating. I'm extra careful around other people's cars, and my young kids are brainwashed about how and when to open their doors. They would be in it DEEP if they dinged someone and they understand the respect aspect of it. They have rules about moving their bikes and scooters AROUND the driveway when both our cars are parked, and for the most part they do really well. I know accidents and gusts of wind happen and all, but I think that's rare. People are just so wrapped up in themselves and their phones to open their eyes to what's around them.
Ok..I get way too fired up about this crap. Sorry.
It doesn't really matter WHAT was in the cup, this was a completely, totally, pointless act. :doh:Why was the liquid on your windshield all day is you missed him by ten minutes? Does not look like soda at all, blue sports drink that is non carbonated. Top did not even come off the cup. Only liquid was squirted out through straw.
What damage did a sugary liquid do to your windshield?
Yea, I agree this guy is not right in the and obviously jealous of the car. Calls to kick his ass and throw a brick at his head are way over the top. Get some perspective people.
I've wanted a v8 sportscar since high school, and I drooled over the fox body 5.0. We're talking 20 years of seeing other people's cars and always putting it off, even after getting a good job. There was always another need, or a truck was more practical for my day to day stuff. Marriage, divorce, marriage again, kids, mortgage. Bought my truck 6 years ago and said when I got it paid off I would get a sportscar and now a month ago I finally did it. And although I can make the payment I still have stressed over it some because it's twice what I paid on the tacoma including insurance. I don't like big payments.Apparently, being successful having nice things is a bad thing.
I totally agree with you. People just can't stand other people having nicer things. And that's preciously why they don't have nice things. They focus their mentality on jealousy instead of how to make their life better.I've wanted a v8 sportscar since high school, and I drooled over the fox body 5.0. I don't think people (even the ones like milk jug guy who may not be a total douche) understand what it means to people like me when they finally get something nice. It's not like I make hundreds of thousands and just buy what I want when I want, or have rich parents, etc. I waited, patiently, to get something cool. While my friends were getting sportscars I drove a crappy 87 cougar, 86 camaro, a decent grand prix GT (after good job, before bad marriage), a sonata I got stuck with in a divorce..the first decent thing I bought as a grown up was my Tacoma..used. The mustang is no vette, no lambo, etc, but damnit it's what I wanted and it makes me happy from a car perspective. I was them. They are me. But, they don't see that. They just feel jealous and entitled. Drives me nuts.
Damn I can't stop the rage pouring out of me..LOL
There was something magical in that 'non-sugary sports drink', because it left clear hard bumps on the windshield, paint around the window and roof wrap. I know the one guy on here earlier was convinced otherwisee...I suppose I should have taken a video of myself washing it off :headbonk:It doesn't really matter WHAT was in the cup, this was a completely, totally, pointless act.
OP is simply lucky this ass wasn't drinking a coke, rather than a sports drink, or carrying something else that they could have splashed on his/her vehicle.
I think some folks just don't get it. Your car was parked there, minding it's own business, and some a-hole did something to it, for no reason whatsoever...There was something magical in that 'non-sugary sports drink', because it left clear hard bumps on the windshield, paint around the window and roof wrap. Wait, that wasn't real? Man, now I'm bummed.....:(Like west side story. The sharks were hispanic, right??
You are right. He did not throw the cup at the car.I would call that littering on private property more so than vandalism. Its not like he threw the cup at the car. He placed it on the windshield, upright. I would still be pissed but to call it vandalism and saying the guy deserves to die is completely absurd.
