Anyone here have the roush axel backs on there mustang? I am considering them on my '16 GT convertible. I'm looking for just a nicer sound, basically one step above stock. Any input/experience? Pros and cons to the roush line?

Love mine. Loud when needed and quiet when not.

One step above stock is a X or H pipe.

Do that first, drive around a while and see whether it alone is sufficient for you.

I had a H pipe and then went to the Roush AB + H pipe later. It is one step or two below all hell breaks loose.

How is it on start up? Is it too loud where it will wake up everyone in my house? I keep it in the garage and I leave early in the morning for work. With it being stock, so far, it hasn't woken the wife or the 15 month old. Just wondering if the roush will tip the scale too much.

IvanCRF, that sounds pretty sweet! That is with an H pipe and the roush axel back?

Yup. The good thing is the loud sound at startup dies down after about 5-10 seconds to help sneak away when needed.

So then just the axel back with the existing "suitcase" should be a little quieter?

Awesome, that's where I'm leaning. Does anyone else have and pros and cons on the roush axel back?

We ran the Roush axleback for a while along with our resonator delete pipe. That exhaust setup in my opinion sounds sick.

Here's a video of how our car sounded with that setup.

Oh you will wake someone up. Not your neighbors but people in your house.

I love mine. Loud when I get on it, quiet when I don't.

I have them as well and love the sound. They are not to loud on startup (I have an attached two car garage as well). They sound great and get just loud enough when you get on it, at least for me.

After a while I did have an H-Pipe added (res delete) and it was way to loud for me and VERY loud on startup (wake everyone up kind of loud). I had the H-pipe removed and the factory res put back on...perfect!
