Just wondering if any of the Members on the Forum who have installed a Strut Brace now have an issue with removing the Dipstick to check the oil level. There was some chatter on one of the Facebook pages for the Australian Model.
I have yet to purchase one for installation and I am now reluctant too with what I have read this morning. I was looking at purchasing a Ford Performance one from Blueoval Industries as they sell the ones that come off the American GT Performance Pack models that are sent to Roush for fitting of the Supercharger etc. So they are used but still brand new if you know what I mean.
Any feedback from Members who have installed a Strut Brace would be appreciated.

I haven't installed one, as I don't have a car, but I was reading a thread the other day about bad experiences with Blueoval industries. Newtakeoff stock them pretty cheap and have good reviews

Yeah the brace comes right over the upward removal path of the dipstick. Its still removable but requires putting an arch to it as you pull it out or put it back in.

if you buy the one from Mustang Motorsports they do the little grind section for you I believe. It should be posted to you ready to bolt straight on.

I brought my take off OEM strut brace from Blueoval late last year, no issues with them, it,s now sitting in the lounge with the rest of the stuff waiting for the car to arrive.

I was told by someone that Blueoval were great and they offer the cheap option of buying the used strut brace. What was their Postage & Handling Charges like? and how long did it take to arrive from order?

I think we would have heard if there was a problem with dipstick, as all performance packs in the USA have the strut brace fitted as standard.
I have ordered one from Blueoval Industries $169 USD delivery $52 USD.

It's really not a problem as such. Just that some people who have fitted them have commented it makes taking out and putting back the dipstick a bit awkward.

I have the oem brace and dont find it any more difficult to check the oil than without it. It is a non issue....certainly not a reason not to fit a brace. The sound tube is more of a hinderance than the brace.
