I know that they are both good head units. What I am wanting to know.... When does the VMP (head unit only) out perform the Roush/Ford Racing. Here is the list of the mods on my car. Finishing up the install now.. Just waiting on a few more parts.. I just can't see that there will be much difference at 11lbs of boost. I can understand at 18lbs or 21lbs of boost. There being a little difference.. I am talking head units only. I have upgraded my Roush kit using VMP parts.. Here is my parts list. I bought the kit used at a good deal. If I would of bought it new I would of bought the VMP KIT because of the parts you see I have bought from VMP. You go to VMP's YouTube Channel and see Justin tune a low boost VMP stage 3 equipped 2015 auto with a Gibson Catback, and Drag Radials run in the 9's.. With no more done.. How was this done? That tune would have to be on the edge of throwing Pistons to the spectators.. But what do I know.. I just see cars with A LOT MORE running high 10's.. VMP knows how to get it done.. Great parts and great pricing.. Again, when does the VMP outshine the Roush?

Here is the VMP video I am talking about

I guess I'll be the one to test it out in a couple weeks as I'm about to order it. I dynoed it before so I should have some after results with the same tune and dyno.

So you ordered a VMP unit. And you have the Roush Unit? Will you be able to do a unit to unit comparison? When I say that I mean NOTHING CHANGED BUT THE BLOWER.. No TB, CAI....nothing.. This is great... Thanks for the help.. You are not going wrong with the VMP.. I do believe it makes a difference after 11lbs..

I think the VMP kit starts making more power at any boost level. That being said the new 2015 Roush head unit is also enlarged to flow more. Depending on your goals I would put the money to a fuel system and added boost on the Roush. The Roush should make 800ish depending on boost and fuel.

Lol it is. I'm just trying to do everything I can for 93 octane.
If you are on 93 octane VMP has said a 20-30 HP jump on the 11-14 cars at 10 psi. That was on the old Roush head unit.

Boosted Im eager to see your results. I think my next mood will be fuel system and e85 tune shooting for a bit over 800rwhp. If that gives worthwhile gain might be worth it for all of us.

Ps remove the lid on your air filter if you haven't already. I picked up like 30rwhp back to back dyno pulls removing it. Now for got lap track days I would put it on because iat Temps do go up about 20 degrees with no moVing air but at drag strip could be beneficial

VMP is putting out work. Their systems and units work great.
The only system where I see higher torque numbers than most other units. Obviously it has to do with the tune, but still, they put out some great products. I do believe Justin works very closely with Roush.
***I'm not knocking any other units here. Since this is a VMP thread, I am sticking to the thread topic.

Will see what happens I'm not getting a fuel system there is no e85 locations near me and I'm not going to be depending on looking for one this is my daily driver so I'm using 93 octane only. 79mm is as low as I'm gonna go boost wise I just want everything to flow and cool better.
