I have a PP now but debating trading it in for an auto and adding a twin turbo setup.. I've never owned a turbo powered car before so any opinions would be great. Thanks

Need more info like how youd most likely use it.

Road course or track day hpde maybe dial TT back to 650hp = manual.

Drag strip w TT above 650whp or hauln arse in traffic or light hpde or autocross = auto.

Manuals dont survive above 700 if abused and a TT setup on stock block w a damper opg tg may put out 1000hp crank or more if thats where you are headed.

For just messing around vs more expensive sports cars on the street: AUTO

Auto. There is a GHIG 2014 GT here in Jax that has a TT setup on the auto making like 900+.

If u already have a stick, I'd say stay with it instead of losing your ass on a trade in. If you're selling it outright and getting ur money out of it, then that's cool. I prefer a manual with turbos cause u can spool them up much easier. I'm sure the auto will ultimately be faster. But autos bore me. It's all personal preference. My biggest concern would be losing all that money on trade in just to go auto. If you had an auto now, I'd also say stay auto.

Thanks all, I'm just the occasionally strip guy, not into road courses.. I don't owe a whole lot on the car and should be ok on a trade or even better selling outright..I figured with the manual, I'd need to upgrade axles and probably lower the gears down to 3.31.. That's additonal cost as well, not to mention a clutch..

I'm looking around 625 ish for the street with a tune good enough for 700 during play time..of course I would due the opg etc..on either car. With the new Boostworks or Limited performance set up it appears the install isn't as evasive as a top mount either...Limited website says approx 6 hours for install ..

I'd love to get his feedback etc on the pros and cons of a twin set up

I'm kind of in the same boat. I figure I'll keep the car another year and then either trade it in or sell it privately to get an auto.

There's a guy in Tampa that bought my 13 GHIG GT auto and he went with a CPR single turbo and he's gone 8.4 @ 165.

My vote is go with the auto.

Some video to back up my choice.
