See many threads were a person bought an Ecoboost and traded it for a GT.

Anyone trade their GT for an Ecoboost?

Doesn't look like we have many GT to Ecoboost owners.

Traded a paid off 2012 Race Red GT vert that was fully modded and had Red Line leather interior for a 2015 Cyclone vert. Crazy huh?

Do you have one?

I have a Focus RS on order and I think it is the same engine with a few more ponies....
turbo is different on the RS, among other things.

No, just wish I did. Europe made my personal requirements different though. My last Mustang had a tad more than 435hp and I had an EB on order for awhile.

Feels competent

So, you went from 412HP to 300HP, how does it feels?
Actually my 2012 Coyote actually had a bit more than 412HP because it had a tune, CAI, and full cat back Borlas. Only had 42,000 miles and car ran great. I went to buy a 2015 GT vert but saw the Cyclone vert just sitting there at $14,000 less. I'll get the MachI when it comes out. But until then I really like my Cyclone Pony vert...the 300Hp feels so competent on this Mustang because of the IRS.

I essentially did go from a GT to an Ecoboost. I have a 2006 GT that I supercharged making 478/450 hp/tq to the wheels. Then I bought a 2010 Mustang V6 for my daily 100 mile commute for work. Then when the 15 came out, I bought the EB PP to replace the V6 as my commuter. I absolutely love driving this car, it has plenty of power and gets 30 MPG on the highway. I'm not racing it. The ONLY thing I don't like is the sound.

There's a lot of stupidity going on the forum here with overly paranoid people talking about ecoboosts blowing up. It's so ridiculous I just stopped going to any threads that even sound like it might be that topic, almost didn't come in this 1. I'm not calling anyone a liar but just that people will lie. You never know what someone did to their car that might have contributed to it blowing the engine and they AREN'T going to tell you (in some cases). Every vehicle, not just Mustang Ecoboost within Mustangs, not just Mustangs and not just Fords will have engine failures. The ecoboost in the Mustang was the highest hp/cu produced by Ford in a production vehicle at the time. It's pretty high tech to get to those numbers and yes, it can be sensitive. You just have to be smart about it and handle it appropriately. For the few that have had legitimate failures and they didn't do anything to it, I feel bad for them. For the rest... I won't argue these points either, I've really grown sick of this topic to the point of considering stopping visiting this forum. Instead I just chose to skip over those threads.

You can see in my signature, I've made quite a few suspension mods to my car. Thanks to supporting vendors on this forum and many of you with your knowledge, experience and opinions, my car handles like a DREAM! By far, the best handling car I've ever driven and I'm not young and have had a lot of cars. The Ecoboost is lighter than the GT and has enough power for my spirited driving. I'm not racing anyone on the street so I don't care if it is faster than the car next to me, only that it has enough power for my enjoyment.
