Backing these cars up with the Elctronics package isn't that hard, however I would love it if the passenger side mirror tilted down like on BMWs so I could see the curb better and avoid damage to the CF wheels...

Wish that were a possibility!!!

But the white lines tell you exactly where your tires will go

Yeah but I don't trust them enough with the CFs. I'd rathe "see" how far I am from the curb.

The R is all about the raw visceral experience right? They want you to feel connected to the mirrors, so no auto down, use the button!

I can understand your concern. The camera is actually very reliable though easier to judge backing in than pulling in.

Ah...thanks!

In cars that do not have the auto down feature, I usually make my own by the use of the seat /mirror memory. I just use a second setting with the mirrors down and everything else the same. One push and you have up and down.

CF wheels or not. I will not be side street parking in this car ever!

Just curious, why wouldn't you trust the back up camera and their guide lines? Had issues before with these? All the ones I've used have been on the money, legitimate question though.

Are you gonna trust CF wheels to a backup camera and guidelines? Yeah, they're on the money out the back of the car... But I don't trust it for the sides.

A simple mirror flip down feature would be nice.. That's all. Doesn't add any weight at all.

Just can't get enuff!
My solution- give me your CF wheels. Out of sight, no worries.... umm, no damage. :D ;)

Mis-read your post, you were talking more about parking parallel to curb, gotcha.
