What are your tips and tricks for washing your Shadow Black Shelbys? I need to give mine a bath and am a little nervous. I am going to go out and buy a whole new bucket, soap, etc because I don't want to be using the set I use on my Jeep.

What do you guys like for sponges, rags, car soap? Anything you love for the inside?

I had a Grand Cherokee now and usually I just take it to get done a few times a year. The Shelby deserves some personal attention.

I'd highly recommend at least ceramic coating for your car. That'll help prevent swirls in the paint. If the car isn't too dirty, check out the Garry Dean method of washing. That's what I'll be using when I pick up the car. You just need a spray bottle with the solution in it, a set of proper microfiber towels, a gallon bucket filled with a rinseless solution and distilled water(best kind for washing cars as it has no minerals in it). Good luck to you on whatever method you choose

Thanks brother. I have been looking all over the place for someone to do a ceramic coating on Vancouver Island and nothing so far. I think I have to bring it into Vancouver proper to get it done.

I'll read on Garry Dean now. Much obliged.

i got cquartz finest. I use carpro waterless wash to keep it clean between when i use a carpro reset, a low pressure powerwasher and leafblower.

All those 6 hour saturdays of washing and detailing go away!

as you can tell, i'm a carpro products fan. no, i am not affiliated.

I'm either going with Modesta or CQuartz Finest. I know my skills aren't up to par to do it myself, so taking it to a pro.

Hey bro - so, what exactly do you do? You just spay your car with waterless wash (out of a spray bottle?) then once it is on the car you shoot it with a powerwasher? What PSI? Crazy. I need to do this.

when i am not going to actually wash it, and i'd just like to make it shine a little more, I use carpro waterless wash. spray on, wipe off, panel by panel. then i do a buff with a really soft terry cloth towel.

When i wash it, i use carpro reset, a carpro wash mit and a low power pressure washer.

Mist the car, use the mitt and reset, powerwash at low PSI, then use a dewalt 20V leaf blower to dry it.

If i'm feeling extra motivated, i'll use carpro reload to really make it shine.

it is this easy because of the paint leveling and cquartz finest. I would not do it this way without it.

if i'm being super lazy, i will just use the power washer and leafblower to get her clean. still looks a bazillion times better than a car without cquartz finest.

The paint leveling and cquartz on the whole car ran me about a grand including taxes, etc ( louisiana has the highest sales tax in the country).
