To be fair, now I know the number and location of all the push pins and bolts etc that need to be removed, I reckon I could take that off within about 40 mins or so.

With another pair of hands the grills themselves would come out a lot quicker too.

All in all I think that job could be done in around 2 hours.

good effort!! Seeing the front of the car in bits like that sends a shudder down my spine. From experience of taking bits of the engine apart in other cars it isn't nearly as bad once you are focussed on the task at hand... but pics are still scary!

Question from the uninitiated - it isn't possible to remove the prancing pony? Presume it is firmly stuck to the mesh?

There is an outline of the pony in the mesh itself. So if you want to change the emblem you need to replace the whole grill

You can remove the pony by snapping the pins off the back whilst still in place. As Jimboy pointed out though there is an outline in the grill itself so it would still need to be replaced with another pony of some description.

I like this a lot. I don't particularly like the silver pony, so was going to plasti-dip it, but that looks much better.

Ha. yes a lot more effort. but result looks worth it!

My dates - yes - shocking! I don't really know what happened neither do Ford, it just got 'lost' for 3 months longer than everyone else.. Good news is i am collecting Friday - 17 months to the day I paid the deposit! I hope the weather holds out.

Here's what my UPR catch can has caught in the last 750 miles, which included the Ford Trackday at Silverstone so 40ish minutes of track work. It's about a teaspoon's worth.

Had the driver's puddle light replaced today at roughly 3900 miles.

Showed him the flaking passenger side which he offered to replace under warranty, then I mentioned about the possibility of a revised mirror coming that will be RHD specific and offer a better angle of adjustment so he said I could hang on as long as I wanted to make sure I got the new one.

Result.

I will be using Royal steering wheels. Have seen a lot of their work and it's very good. Have asked for a price on a re trim to gt350 standard to compare costs.

I sent my gt350 wheel to them on Thursday, but think the guy off sick with bad back.
