Hey guys, I finally installed the throttle body and I love it. Much smoother acceleration and I can actually hear the air rushing into my JLT cai when I blip the throttle with the windows down. Definitely recommend.

Did you get your tune adjusted for it?

No I have not. There is supposed to be an option on my SCT tuner (just read this today on svt performance), but I haven't looked at it yet. Could get better? I sure hope so. The instructions from BBK include directions on how to reteach the ECU. Let it idle with and without accessories on for so long etc. That seemed to work perfect. I figure tuning for it might help a bit more.

In theory you'd only need a re-tune if you had surging issues, have you witnessed any throttle surging or additional lag?

But in theory power should increase without a re-tune simply because the car can suck in more air which will result in a higher lb/min pass the maf sensor and if more air passes the maf sensor then the ECU automatically makes adjustments and typically more air flow results in more power.

Shame you did not do a before and after dyno.

What is stock throttle body size out of curiosity?

My tuner said there was no need for a re-tune. I agree, but if my SCT handheld has a setting on it that I can change, I will. The stock size is 80 mm.

I had an 85mm BBK TB on my 2012 and did not need a retune. I had mine on a Boss IM and had the same impressions, smoother acceleration and better throttle response.
