Did the snorkel from the stock airbox line up with the GT350 intake? How did you rig this? I will also be messing with a GT350 airbox.
The snorkel from the stock box does not hook up to this intake. It is completely different. I purchase the complete box, snorkel, and MAF sensor together.

Well I worked on it last night and the fit is perfect. I used a 3" silicone adapter that you can find in Autozone and fit it over the throttle body. It was a little tight but it slipped right over. Now the snorkel fits snug around the throttle body and tightens up pretty good. This afternoon I will be working on adding a vacuum port to the snorkel because the GT350 snorkel is a little different from the GT. I'll see if I can remove one from my stock intake and epoxy it onto my new intake. I also just received my tune from Lund Racing ( thanks Jon ) to work with this intake system. Also, it looks like the breather from the driver side will not connect to the snorkel due to the bends in the hose not lining up correctly. Might try to heat it with a heat gun to see if it will flex enough to hook up correctly. Here are some pics of the intake in place. Love the factory look!

Looks good! What I was talking about was that air ducting that connects the airbox to the grill (at the bottom of the airbox, it like sticks out and connects to a piece close to the grill/bumper)

Oh right, yeah, that's not going to work. The GT350 air box has a different opening that our stock air box. I'll see what I can fab up to make it work. There's about a 4" gap between the grill ducting and the air box, it shouldn't be too hard to make something work.

You'll need to get Ford part number FR3Z 9C675 B. That will take care of that gap.

I'm just going to use a 2 part epoxy to add a vacuum port to gt350 CAI. I just broke one off of a factory intake a local mustang member gave me. I also made an insert for mine to make it "no tune needed" and a water shield/lid since I DD mine. Also I was one of the lucky ones that paid $26 shipped for mine from Levittown, before Ford realized their mistake and shot up to $250.

Insert:

Insert installed:

Lid I made from 1/8" ABS plastic:

Piece I cut off of the factory intake tube to make a gasket or sorts:

This is the GT350 piece that connects to the front of the airbox ( FR3Z 9C675 B), I had to make a small slit to make it fit over the GT bumper inlet:

The insert is a factory intake box that I cut up and sanded smooth to get the factory diameter flowing across the MAF, I haven't tested it yet. Just need the vacuum port finished, then I will install.

Hope this helps!

Thanks this sure did help! I will also be adding the port this evening to make it all work. I had Lund Racing send me a tune for this intake to make it run correctly.

I'm not sure what the point of all of this is for no performance gained.

For one, I like the looks of this intake and I believe it will show the same gains than any other aftermarket intake. This has been thoroughly covered in previous posts that CAI of any brand gain very little over these cars intake. The tune is what really wakes these cars up. Also, I'd rather but this intake for $26 than $380 for similar results. If this intake worked great in the GT350, why wont it work in a GT? Thanks for your input anyways.

If you say so.
Why wouldn't it, where is your counterargument? You think the 90 degree bent plastic tubes from the after market flow much better than the OEM GT350 Intake? I can almost promise you that any no-tune intake on the market will have the same result as the OEM GT350 intake. The only difference would be the GT350 intake would yield lower IATs at idle because the box was actually designed by ford and actually seals 100% on the hood. Although, the GT350 intake has a bigger MAF than stock, so you would need to tweak the tune a little bit.

You nail it brother! I also agree that this intake seals better than any other CAI due to being a Ford design. I honestly believe this will yield the same gains than any aftermarket CAI and with better fit and finish. Last night I added a vacuum port from my stock intake so hopefully the epoxy has cured and will be ready to install it today and upload the tune from Lund. I am very happy with the fit and aesthetics from this intake.

Aftermarket intakes don't really offer anything to a mildly modified S550. Bigger doesn't always mean better.

I understand the cost and aesthetics, just seems like a lot of trouble for no performance.
