What if you want all 4 of your wheels widened a half inch or inch?

Not sure on spacers yet.

They start with four, hack away the edges of rear wheel (front of the wheel) and add about twice of what was taken off from the front wheel (front of the wheel).

If that makes sense.

So in essence you start with 19x9.5. Hack off 1.5 and add 3.0 from the front the wheel and weld it up.
And the weld point is strong enough to not worry about it breaking?

Then you'd need to start with 8 wheels and go to four.

Same concept applies as above.

Search "widened wheels" on Google.

I'm not the first person to do this but I can understand the worry some may have.

I would assume you'd need spacers as it's going to screw up the offset. Basically you'll be extending the inside edge of the wheel in by 1.5 inches which will probably interfere with the shock.
What's a deal like this cost and I'm curious why you chose this route vs. buying a new set of properly sized and offset wheels?

I wanted to be unique and I personally like the PP Wheels.

This quality of the wheel over most wheels in the same price range can't be beat, IMO.

Also, most people will think it's just a stock Mustang wheel until they do further research.

We were thinking we'll need a spacer but we weren't 100% sure.

Ultimately, this will be unique and probably the first (maybe the last) person to do this so I'm jumping off the cliff first.

Why do this when you could put a 305 on the stock pp wheel?

I personally love the OEM design also... some company needs to license it and retool for 10.5f/11r.

what they charge? I got a quote form one in MI, $250 each plus shipping but they are very busy, 6 weeks if I place an order.

That's a good price.

Yes, this place is busy as well. They haven't got started on them yet.

Running a tire that is wider then the original wheel size (275's are almost perfect for 9.5") will give you sidewall bulge...When a sidewall bulges it can have excessive tire roll which can feel sloppy and create oversteer.

Among other things.

That is one method of widening, the other is how Weldcraft does their widening. "When widening we use a band of material of the width requested, so no second donor wheel is required."
