Sorry if this was posted already somewhere....

So I was watching "Daddy's Home" last night with Mark Walhberg and Will Ferrell.

Mark's character is supposed to be this tough guy type.

There is a scene in the movie where he pulls up to his daughters school to pick her up and it's in a Orange Mustang but not just any mustang, a S550 Boss 302 Comp. Orange Mustang!.....LOL

I was like what?! A Boss 302...haha...

I had to rewind it a few times and pause it, looks like a standard V6 (could be a Ecoboost but I am pretty sure its a V6).

They dressed it up with the Boss 302 scheme but from the rear shot you can see it's not a premium and has a base bumper with a base exhaust..

The funniest thing is, when he pulls up, the sound effects make you think he is driving a really big burly V8!

It was a good laugh.....anyone else seen this movie yet?

All that money for for graphics and wheels and the didn't even bother to plastidip the bumper debadge the panel or do exhaust tips on a side note the sound symposer must have been far better than the one in the Ecoboost.

Anything to save a buck... the producer couldn't even spring for the real V8 ;) But to be honest the average person won't ever notice, to them a Mustang is a Mustang.

Hahaha nice find! There's a guy around here that has the same thing on his ecoboost. He tried to tell some of our group members that it was a v6 twin turbo under the hood and then scurried away after he was asked to pop his hood. Some people....

I saw the movie and knew right away that it wasn't anything special. Still nice to see an S550 in a new movie like this though. I hate when people badge their car for something it's not. Either be happy with what you have or buy what you really want.

The movie 'Drive' is excellent, but when he's running from the cops in that silver Chevy Impala or whatever it was, it was making sounds like a big block V8 with a stick shift. And that just ruined the move for me. The great thing about the movie Ronin was that all those Euro cars they used in chase scenes actually sounded like the actual car... because the sound effects were from those cars (enhanced, of course).

I thought some of the sounds were not entirely right even with the supercars. I have to go back and watch the movie again.

Is it possible that it actually could be a base GT with a fake Boss 302 theme and they changed out the rear GT badge to match what was used back in the day? They didn't put "GT" on the back.
