Who's running summer tires now?

I picked my car up in snow 2 wks ago so I had the dealership put DWS06's on and they perform so well that I thought something was wrong with the car as it wouldn't lose traction at all. From a roll, if I punch it, the nose of the car jumps and it scoots away.

+1 for the Conti DWS06s. Night and day switching from the factory PP tires.

I bought my PP GT in January a week before that big storm. Decided to leave it parked in a garage. I've ran summer tires on all my cars in the Fairfax area for 3 years. I am lucky enough to be able to work from home in inclement weather which allows me to get away with it. Roads are usually clear after 2 days. These past couple of warm days have really showed what the summer tires can do. I've driven in the rain and have had no problems.

I'm about to switch all my vehicles back to summer rubber....probably this weekend. Mid to end of March is usually when I do it. I have a daughter that was born during the last week of March and I remember there being about 8" of snow on the ground that day. So that is a reminder to hold out until the end of the month for me.

I switched to summers about a week ago. It has been mostly under 50F. I did autocross under 40F on Saturday. It even snowed. Lol but I think it's a good time to switch in the next upcoming weeks.

No way I'm driving on summer tires in cold temps. First, I don't like babying my car I want to drive it (that is why I bought it). Second, most summer tire manufacturers void the warranty if used in temps below 45 degrees and cracking develops (they have to prove it but still). Third, not safe. I have two setups both on PP wheels - Eagle F1 Asymmetric and Michelin PSS. The F1 did me well this past winter and I drove the car in rain, freezing temps and some snow with no issues (spirited driving lol). Michelin PSS - have not put them on yet but cant wait. I have a set of p zeros with 200 miles on them if anyone wants to make an offer? I can post pics also.

Well, that's entirely up to you....perhaps you only drive at 3am. I've looked at accuweather.com forecasts for the next month for my area (northern VA). The temp isn't forecasted to be below 53F during daylight hours for the next 6 weeks during daylight hours. And it's mostly in the mid to high 60's. Spring is upon us.

Summer rubber for me.

The temp isn't forecasted to be below 53F during daylight hours for the next 6 weeks during daylight hours. And it's mostly in the mid to high 60's. Spring is upon us.

LOL.. cold tempt meaning below 45F. I'm new and I was replying to the original post and I didn't attach the quote. However I agree now is the time for summer i just need to stop being lazy and swap out the setup.
