What temp do you run at. Usually I'm at 185 but lately the last few days have been 205

180°-181° is normal for me. I've seen it get higher but that's rare. I've also got a PP car though, so mine has the larger radiator.

I've seen it creep to 200 on hot days, but only if sitting in traffic. With the temps in the low 80's, it hovers between 185-190.

Target coolant temp on stock is 205, so most of you are running around 195-205ECT. Cylinder head temps should range 175-205 driving.

Mine is usually around 195 degrees, after driving for a while. At what temp should we worry about it being too hot?

I wouldn't worry. If it gets outside of an unsafe range, the car will let you know. Mine has gotten up to around 215°-220° while stuck in traffic in the South Carolina heat. Click on Cylinder Head Temp. on the center gauge and it'll show you an analog looking gauge with the safe zone and danger zones. If you look at that and it's getting into the red, then turn it off. Otherwise, at 205° or so, you're fine. [emoji106]

I have actually been experiencing the same thing. I live in Chicago (so its been cold as hell until recently), i have a 2016 with less than 3k miles, and i've periodically seen temps as high as 209. At first i thought it was simply because i was in sport mode, but yesterday i parked and was watching the temp gauge. When i parked it was at 201, and after a minute of sitting there in park the temps went up to 208 before i turned the motor off. before pulling into my parking spot i was driving in normal mode and going slow. I'm hoping this is normal and i'm just confused as to why the temps were so high under nearly zero stress, and why they were climbing while in park.

Do you guys still have the Active Grille Shutters (AGS) installed? That too could cause a slight variation in temperature when they close to improve fuel economy. Again, the temperatures mentioned are absolutely nothing to have concern about.

when it's hot and I'm sitting in traffic, it will approach 200, but while I'm driving it stays right around whatever temp it is outside.

Really? You're coolant temps stay the same as ambient temp? You're car is either running way too cool or you live in hell. :D
