I know I've read through a few Roush CAI posts but I haven't seen any videos posted. Aside from the very small gains I'm more interested in a before and after video of the sound difference. I'm very interested in how different it sounds from the engine, inside the cabin/car, and from behind.

Is it too much of anyone to post a before and after if you have one? Even if you just have an after video I'd still like to hear the sounds from a v6. I've heard it from the eco and GT and I've seen the 1 video posted by the Derps. Thanks!

yeah that's the only video out there for it. it sounds great! I just want to verify that others are getting the same sound out of theirs. it'd be nice if there's a good promo code for it too =)

I can make a video this weekend and will upload on youtube.... Trust me you wont regret the purchase.

Pros: Amazing sound and v6 rumble especially between 1700rpm -2400rpm and gets throaty thereafter in pleasant way.

OEM fit and finish. Looks great in your engine bay.

Slight improvement in low end torque i.e pulling power @low rpm 1000rpm to 2000rpm.

Considerable gain in mpg ~2mpg over stock (Getting 23-24 city ang 29-30 ish on highway)

Cons: Nothing significant happens until in lower RPM.

I have seen water entering into CAI plastic box during heavy rain driving ....

Gurus can help me out to understand is this common in all CAI 's.
Will that damage the filter and cause engine hydro-lock in future if no further attention is paid.??

it will only cause hydro lock if your in a flood lol. a few drops of water in there wont hurt. your car would literally have to be up to the filter in water to get hydro lock. if your in that much water and trying to drive....your probably not a very smart person :p you'll be ok! :) id be interested in a dyno graph on this intake. though its probably similar to the others

Dont sweat some water on the filter element, its washable after all. And as stated you would have to really get a lot of water in there to do damage.

Awesome! That'll be great to see that video. I'm really interested in hearing it.

Guys thanks for the info on the water concern. I was actually a little concerned that water was getting into the air filter cabin.

Also, it would be great if there was at least a 10% off coupon for the great purchase!!

I put up a video here in the forum a bit ago. Probably not the best quality but gives an idea, this is just after install and before I got the Roush Axlebacks:

I like the CAI a lot.

Hah yep, stock. It's a good sounding engine. It's even better now with the axlebacks :-)
