First clip is resonated, second clip is non resonated.. the video doesn't convey the difference, driving around it is significant.

Any hp gain? I saw a dyno pull recently and the operator said something about a 10 hp gain for the R due to the resonator delete. I am thinking I'll have this done soon.

The advantage of the R on the dyno has more to do with the CF wheels than resonator delete. At least that's the general consensus about this.

There is no power to be had from deleting resonators that are straight through. Don't let '70's logic fool you.

Resonators don't restrict exhaust flow, so that is false about a 10 hp gain. If they meant removing the cats, then yeah that would make sense.

I have the same question. Any drone or unpleasant noises as a result from removing the resonators would deter me from taking them out.

No drone. In 6th or with the exhaust in quiet mode it's no different than before.

With the exhaust fully open however, there's a major increase in noise from 3k up, I was actually quite surprised how much louder it was compared to stock.

Correct, even at WOT they never open in 6th.

I just got back from driving my R around for an hour or so (you know, 'Sunday drive') and I'm still amazed at how loud it is. Awesome...but loud.

They open for me at 95 to 100 mph at full throttle in 6th.

In sport mode or track mode mine have never closed when switching to 6th.

Really?

This is one of the few things I don't like about the car is that they close in 6th and I frankly don't like 6th gear at all. I rarely use it unless I'm cruising at 80 on the interstate. If yours don't close you have a 'freak' car.
