That was fixed. The Hellcat was short shifting every gear.

Okay so a stock GT350 is pushing 526 Horse at 3656 pounds and ran basically door to door with a hellcat with 707 horse power at 4439 pounds. so my 2015 GT with all the goodies for suspension, aluminum drive shaft, 2.9L Whipple and a totally kick ass tune, pushing 720ish horse, should destroy the hell cat.... interesting. now i just have to find a hell cat... and have my whipple installed... lol

+1, not sure if fixed but everyone need to watch starting at the 1:28 mark (hellcat POV). We know the hellcat has a passenger and was short shifting.

Either way, two bad ass cars, before the GT350 was out, the exhaust sound on the Hellcat was IMO the best of all V8 cars. Now that the GT350 is out, that is the current best. :first:

Hellcat is very very short on tire, and if you watch it, that driver was losing time every shift. Grab the automatic version and slap on the biggest DOT slicks you can under it and see it do much better.

The 991 GT3 pulls 149mph in the 1/2 mile! All these cars are impressive.

Tech's not made for straight raw power. Surely it would dominate in a longer, winding contest...say, 20 mins on the track vs. Hellcat...surely...
Ruined a great Haiku.

Well the Hellcat MT has a cooler on the trans, so yes, that makes total sense to me. If they offered a Hellcat tech pack without one.....and I'm just guessing here...it MIGHT not cool as well as the one with the cooler...might.

+1 - it's known that the manual version isn't nearly as fast as the auto. Even with the manual, he was basically letting the 350 hang with him...very slow, short-shifting.

I agree that the best part of this vid is the sound of the 350!

I don't think the Hellcat was short shifting, his redline is only about 6000rpm compare to the base GT350 @ 8250rpm. Also you could tell by the exhaust sound the GT350 driver was granny shifting the car.

Nice....

Heck yeah.... a caveman can lap them! And you don't even need 20 mins to do so... I say half of that at most. :D

Bossing, nice new profile photo, looks great.......  John

I'll have to watch it again. I thought the HC seemed pretty lazy.

Edit: Watched it again and I see what you're saying, the GT350 guy could have shifted faster but for sure, 2nd and 3rd in the HC were very short. Not a great race, overall but that sound!
