SteveS i'm more on about him moving the date from his preagreed march 19th, not the 1st March, fully aware March 1st will be a MASSIVELEY busy day for New car sales.

What i'm also saying is, that, it's easy enough for him to give another dealer who has a time slot to another customer to do the walk through of the car, and with him being the 'specialist mustang dealer' to hand the mustang over, or vice versa (Mustang handover to another dealer).

Sure hope the car is with the customer way before the 19th.
I think the bottleneck will be the workshop more than the handover (unless its stated somewhere that the actual dealer doesn't have the time and I missed it).

Chances are, it's not in Zeebrugge, too much hope
Hence why I said jumping the gun and it'll be in Z soon, not that it is!

I'd imagine it'll be about halfway there, if not 2/3rds of the way.

Not too sure, i'm reading/replying to this like the car's in southampton (IIRC it is) and that, they can't get it to him for the 1st march, or the 19th, so will have to pick it up later in the month? Or i've totally gone off on a tangent.

Checked back and car is at the dealer however customer was told it would be ready for March 1st. If that's the case then I guess its another broken promise and I can kinda understand the ill-feeling.
On the positive side the car should be delivered before the scheduled date. Hope mine is

quick update
had an email to say they can do it for this thurdsay and they asked if i wanted diamondbrite treatment, i think not..... i can do this for a fraction of the price.
email below

Did you want the vehicle treated with paint and fabric protection?
Diamondbrite Gold £350
Diamondbrite Silver £250
http://www.jewelultra.com/diamondbrite.aspx

Also had a quiet word with our pre-delivery inspection controller and he can get it completed by Thursday if that’s applicable?

Wow, they are making some good profit with the Diamonbrite! Brilliant stuff, I have done mine, but I wouldn't pay that.

Pics are a legal requirement. Its strange, we all know what these cars look like but we still want your pics!

I now have a booking on the Tysla showing on the track and trace system. Car was built 29th Jan, so the wait at the dock hasnt been at all bad. Any one else on the Tysla?

April sometime is looking more and more likely!!

stevec was expecting more comment on this as I didn't think people liked it. I take it this is the standard offering from Ford?

Would appreciate some opinion from anyone as its obviously cheaper than Gtechniq, so would assume not as resilient, but would be a hell of a lot easier to have applied as it would be done prior to collection.

Diamondbrite is just Autoglym you can do at home as far as I know.

I have just had a quote to do a new car detail on mine using Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light and EXO for sub £500. Its a 3 day process though.
New Car Preparation Detail with Gtechniq Crystal Serum and EXO

Vehicle Details: Ford Mustang

Exterior Process:
Exterior Decontamination to remove any residue or paint contamination from shipping the vehicle to the dealer.
Snow Foam Wash
Two bucket PH Shampoo Wash
Clay Bar to bodywork
Single Stage Machine Polish to correct any minor defects in the paint. (Where necessary)
Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light Applied and left to cure for 12 hours
Gtechniq EXO Applied and left to cure for a further 3 hours
Glass Polished with Gtechniq G4
Glass Sealant Applied - G1, G2 and G5
Exhaust Tip(s) Sealed
Wheels Sealed with C5 Wheel Armour
Tyres Dressed with T1 Tyre Dressing

Interior Process:
Carpets Hoovered to remove any loose material from the manufacturing process
Glass Cleaned to remove stickers or outlines from the fitting process.
Gtechniq Smart Fabric applied to prevent from UV fading and to seal against any potential liquid spills.
Leather Treated with L1 Leather Guard
Plastics treated with C6 Matt Dash (Does not change the appearance of the plastics).
The sub £500 price is due to booking in early etc so will be getting the stripes added locally and then the detail done all pre-delivery. Dealer is happy to work with them to get the car to them and back without me having to drive it.

For £500 the guy who did my EB convertible did a really good job - including the hood and the wheels and the interior and the glass... I reckon you can get the "standard" dealer job for £350, or for a little more get a much better "specialised" job....

the fact the dealer does it in an hour or two, as opposed to the 2 or 3 days for a "proper" job says it all to me!
