Roush Aftermarket Scoop warning

Hate to be the guy to revive an old thread but here I am now dealing with this issue :(. Just got my service kit from Roush on yesterday and gonna have it taken care of next week.

Same boat here....they shipped out kit fast once I provided Vin number... my body shop guy is fixing for me....we will see...some of the aftermarket ram air hoods are looking good right now

Yep, same here man. I was pretty close to buying one of the CF ram air hoods from Anderson Composites, but I at least wanted to try exhausting all options first with this. I'm not really sure I'd ever find a buyer for my current hood, or that CF one would have been a really easy choice.

I hate to see all of you having to deal with this, but on the other hand, I am sure glad this thread got revived. I was going to order a scoop in the coming weeks to have by springtime. Going to look at other options now.

i just placed an order for my Roush hood scoop. this worries me.

Go to any dealer who stocks a lot of Roush cars & look @ the scoops on the cars, especially the ones that have been on the lot for a while. They almost all look like Alton's hood pics above ! I knew it would make me crazy & is why I cancelled my plans to get that scoop.

I went with the Foose Scoop and couldn't be happier.

In for an inch, in for a mile, even the bad. I started this Roush conversion, gotta go the whole way now.

You might want to replace their sticky tape with this & use some adhesion promoter, might make it stick better and not be as prone to lifting.

Would be interesting to find out what brand/thickness of tape Roush is supplying with the scoop. 3M makes 3 thicknesses (30, 45, 60 mil).
