Interesting take, I sense too much dodge influence with the changed headlights. I liked the tri bar lights because it invoked an aggressive look. The longer mid headlight actually makes the car look even longer imo

I wonder if something like what happened from 66-67 may happen with the DLR "gills" -- might they move to the outside of the main headlights? That might look cool...

Great job on the rendering. My Photoshop skills are about at a 7 year old's level. As a suggestion, maybe the same rendering with a lighter color to make the front grilles show up more. Might change the entire look. Like oxford white or 3Y (I'm biased!).

Hmmmm...That bottom lower grill looks just like the 6G Camaro. Me no likey that.
Kinda thought the same thing, but hard to judge with the darker exterior color.

Great rendering... Keep 'em coming!

That is all...

With the 2018 refresh looming, I had to see if I could piece together some Ford design DNA and come up with a refreshed 2018 front/rocker combo.

I was actually quite surprised it came out as well as it did as I was dreading the new grille on the Mustang. However, when mixed with some big-brother influences, I think it could work very well.

This is a relatively quick chop, and I might polish it up later, but it gets the point across and I think looks quite good.

Anyone have a line into Ford's design team? :D
Nope not the Fusion headlights:eyebulge: Te reverse bottom splitter is going to happen and my guess is full led frame headlights! I wonder where Ford is going to put the fog lights?

Nice work! however it's a little too "vertical" in the front bumper for me. It looks tall, much like the Focus RS. i'd rather see low & wide bumper openings and trim that flow with the headlight shape. I also wouldn't mind a smaller/shorter upper grill. my $0.02

That would be cool and then they could go back to round headlights possibly, although that would take it back in a retro direction that I know is unpopular for this new bodystyle.

I'd like to see slightly larger headlight projectors, I think the current ones are a bit too slender at times. Or just larger I think the LED gills look sweet, but howabout trying the four-eyed look from the new Fusion Sport? I'd be interested in seeing how that looks.

Personally, I hope they don't change the rear because I think it looks perfect now; but a little modification in the diffuser wouldn't ruin it for me. I just hope they don't change the taillights.

Also, another retro cue, but why not relocate the turn signals to the grille like on the '71-72 cars?

Here's one I did quite some time ago when trying to figure out ways to make the front end of the 550 look more aggressive...

And some others just messing around with ideas...

This is the chop I did pretty much a full year before I got my own 550. The orig pic is from Woodward (not mine). I used a lot of the cues here on my own car (last one below).

more like a Ford focus / gt with some fusion headlights :ninja:

nice chop, don't like that though. reminds me a lot of the camaro, and it doesn't look very aggressive imo
now it looks like a camaro :D

Or they could keep it closer to what we have now, and offer it functionally worldwide -- in UK they don't currently work.
