That's way way off. It's $1k for the fiberglass and $1700 for CF.
I was including paint and labor I thought that's what he meant

Just a note the Carbon Fiber version comes gel coated so you won't get the glossy fiber look on the outside and will need to get it painted. A buddy of mine bought one a few months back.

Ah, well if you're paying $600 for a hood to get painted that's crazy high. Paint prices are so different depending on where you're at in the country too.
Paint and labor for installing, that's what I was quoted for a GT hood.

Those hoods are probably one of the only hoods with actual wind tunnel testing done to confirm operation. They are pretty bad ass looking in person and aren't meant to be for looks, this is a functional part. DD cars it will dump rain/snow/whatever right on top of the motor.

I would contact Chicane 23 like mentioned above, they can fix you up.

Haha I'm in Phoenix what bad weather lol. I don't need it for a daily so I'd just garage it during rain if I went this route

Saw it in person and it looks good from a quality perspective. I also saw the 2nd gen hood and that piece looks amazing!
any picture of the 2nd gen hood?
