Raxiom Unit in the Works?

Anyone that can develop a quality aftermarket unit for the S550 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can sit back and print money! I'm surprised it's taken this long.

I know right. I can't believe no company has done so. Should seriously consider opening a company. Just need the people haha

Haven't got mine yet but did see a couple photos of this unit installed.

This is not what's coming from them. Hoping for pictures soon fellas. I understand the made in china part but if it were made in the states the cost would probably be considerably more. Believe me I wish the MT82 was manufactured elsewhere too

I honestly don't care where it is made as long as it does not use sync!

Sync is just the voice command system. Is this what you mean, or is there some other operations of the system you don't like? Bluetooth pairing, etc, are not actually part of the Sync system (AFAIU -- but I definitely could be wrong).

As far as Sync, I don't care one way or the other, since I use Siri One Touch (or whatever it is called). I definitely want CarPlay though.

The one thing I do want is the 911 Assist. I hope any aftermarket radio still has this. It will use your paired cell phone to call 911 if the airbags go off. It sends your location, the state of the airbags, etc to emergency services.

I agree. I want.. No.. Need to keep 911 assist. You never know when you'll need it. Right?

Sync is the "brains" of the oe system, Bluetooth, calling etc. It's a nice idea, but a quick search will show many many people have problems with it. I personally don't care about losing any features associated with sync because it's so prone to fail anyway.
