Cool. I'm going to leave myself a note in my glovebox with the fuse number. My BT eats shit every 6 weeks, so I have about 4 weeks left until I have to do the dance again.

On my last ford car, sync would mess up every few weeks and required pulling the fuse. The fusebox was annoying to get to (had to drop the glovebox), so after the second time, I just wired a switch to that fuse location allowing me to flip a switch to do a reset.

Only ever happened when it got a little cold (not super cold... talking like 20-30). Always thought that was a little weird.

Just so you know, because I wasn't aware: the sync update claims to take up to 30 minutes. Don't know if that's accurate, because it also wants you to keep the engine on, and not in accessory mode (presumably so your battery doesn't die).

For whatever reason, when I hit "download SYNC update", the page just refreshes. Any guidance on that? I'm not very savvy, apparently

Quick update, I called Ford customer service and they said the v5.9 isn't quite ready for release for owners to download, but can be installed by the dealers at this time. It sounds like some of you were able to download it, but I wasn't. So I'll just wait to install it later and pull the fuse if I have my issue again.

OK, I have questions. Is the sync in the 15s able to be updated? What are the advantages? I haven't had any problems.

I havent noticed but of any change to mine... I think the new update for the NON MFT units were for the connectivity issues.
