I have a stock 2015 mustang gt, deep impact blue, non-PP, 18" Pirelli all-seasons. The only thing I have added is a 93oct tune. I love this car man, it's so fun to drive and just to look at it. I wish the exhaust tone was better and so I've been looking at those, but also I feel like some lowering springs and minor suspension upgrades would make it act like a much nimbler car. I'm not racing or anything at the moment but I enjoy the spirited drive. Obviously for me things like superchargers and such are pointless since I can't use that much power. But I can feel the power increase in the tune, which has got me considering a catback exhaust, maybe a JLT intake to just make it breathe better would be nice. Maybe even some catted LT headers, but that could be an expensive proposition. Also, and here's a big one, I think I'd like to upgrade the appearance. I would like maybe some slightly bigger tires and rims, nothing to expensive, but like a nice multi spoke drift wheel. I was thinking some 19"s or 20s with black rims would be sick, and then get catback exhaust with black tips! Oh that would be awesome I think. And then add a small drop to eliminate some of that wheel gap and it'll be a sexy car.

But as you can see, I have a lot wants and so I won't be doing all of those modifications, especially not all in one go. But I'm trying to ask you all to help a rookie get the most bang for the buck on improving this already nice but basic GT model. I don't want to drop too much in it but I figure I'll get $2500 or $3,000 after tax season to play around with so what are your thoughts? I realize it's not a big amount of cash, especially when many of you are able to get superchargers and stuff like that, but I'm still young (28) and so I've yet to find my goldmine, and I just want get some starter modifications to make the biggest difference, and maybe I will add a few more things down the road.

You can find a full set of Black 19" power pack wheels and tires for a grand. Catback will get the sound. What 93 tune are you running? Two of the things I did that I felt made night and day difference on how the car felt were Steeds sub- frame connectors and ditching the two piece drive shaft for a solid aluminum one.

Definitely do exhaust next, then maybe MGW race-spec shifter, and then wheels. Personally, I wouldn't buy factory pp wheels, as they are heavy and Pirelli sucks. I would go aftermarket like Forgestar or MRR and got some better tire

If you have a manual I definitely second the MGW shifter. Best mod I have done!

I love my corsa cat back it was expensive but the vendors on this site will cut you a price break. You will have to decide if you want extreme's or sport's, I went sport's because I put headers on the car. The thing I like about the corsa is when cruising you can't hear the exhaust in the car, it is very close if not the same as stock noise levels.

I will add doing headers along with the other mods you mentioned is probably going to put you over your budget. Long tubes also increase the exhaust sound and change the tone of the exhaust significantly.

I will also add that a cradle lockout of some kind either BMR or Steeda makes a huge difference in how the rear tracks and handles. I went with BMR CB005 and I am truly impressed, Kelly is cutting 1.2 60 ft's with this cradle lockout and other IRS mods!

Ford racing strut tower and K brace, Steeda G trac brace and Steeda IRS sub frame braces made my car feel super tight. At the very least you should get the Strut tower kit and IRS sub frame braces. I installed the strut tower and k brace and it made me realize how loose the rear end was. I installed the subframes brace a few weeks later and it made the whole car feel balanced again.

Next for me is going to be lightweight wheels and tires. People seriously underestimate how much better a car will feel and perform when running some sticky tires. they might be the most important handling upgrade you can do.

BMR CB005 Cradle Lockout Kit will center your subframe, minimize deflection, and support it. Also make a good jack point!

The BMR kit replaces the middle OEM sheer plate mounting point for the Steeda brace with a short "cradle brace" piece that mounts to the frame.

They are basically competing products. Although the BMR product effects all 4 mount points, whereas the Steeda two.

Oh I forgot to mention that I did get the ford racing strut tower brace and cowl brace but haven't got around to installing it yet. I need buy a torque wrench I think.

Definitely need to torque down the brace. I don't thinks it's possible to torque the k brace down without removing the wipers and cowl. I would just go as tight as possible with a wrench. The torque for them is only 26 pounds iirc. I just used a box wrench with a ratcheting head. No problems so far. I'll probably. Check on them in the spring.
